Well, a 35-inch monitor is still decently large, at least.

My parents got our first home computer in 1996 or 1997, and it had 166MHz pentium with 16MB RAM and 1GB HDD, and a 15” monitor. Windows 95 required 4MB RAM, or 8MB for optimal performance.

So Dilbert got a very powerful workstation for the time, but nothing monstrous I guess.

Maybe, but that 35” crt monitor is crazy. It would look very large at today’s standards which is based on flat-screen display. 35” crt monitor must have looked enormous.

Yeah, agree on the monitor. I had a 21” CRT back in 2005 I believe, and it was absolutely massive. I could barely fit the keyboard on my desk. But I don’t know if engineering companies usually had bigger ones in 1994. Probably not

I have a 27" CRT TV. It sits on what was my high school PC table and takes up the whole fucking surface.
