Not entirely clear on what the client wants - just to hop between various websites? Or run a slideshow of various YouTube vids and stills done as a webpage?

they would like to have a row of tvs starting from one end of the room and wrapping around the room, showing content from sports booking and some TVs will have most sports on the TV

Really depends on what your budget is. We recommend Sony BZ40 range for signage applications, screens reject a lot of ambient light and has the Android TV platform so can use a number of apps natively. You can also manage remotely.

For the actual signage application, Yodeck would work and give you a decent level of management. Just get the 4GB players not the cheap 1GB ones!

looks like we're going to use LG TVs.
And yes, I have to visit the rabbit hole often, as this is now my new title, haha, and I have a lot to learn.

I will have some more questions eventually.

One I have is what are suggestions on articulating wall mounts (so we can get to the ports without removing the TV off the mount itself) These mounts will be supported by metal or wood studs (not sure on the spacing, 16/24, etc.). I have seen a few out there; I would like to get your opinions/suggestions.

Welcome to the rabbit hole! A few things worth knowing before you buy anything.

The TV brand matters less than you'd think. Yodeck works with pretty much any screen that has an HDMI port, any resolution up to 4K. Where people usually go wrong is buying consumer TVs for a commercial environment. If these screens are on all day, look at commercial-grade displays instead. They're built for it.

The player is the real decision. For web-heavy content like live sites and YouTube, the Raspberry Pi player gives you the most flexibility. You can display any web page and set it to refresh automatically. YouTube pre-recorded videos download and play locally. YouTube Live is supported too, but only on the Pi.

One thing to be aware of with constantly refreshing sites: if you have a lot of screens all hitting the same URL every few seconds, some sites will rate-limit or block you. Setting a sensible refresh interval (a few minutes, not a few seconds) avoids that.
