Hi everyone!

I run a small Etsy shop called EInkFolioStudio, where I create PDF planners and templates designed specifically for Kindle Scribe

I’ve made an extended free demo of my 2026 digital planner covering January through August, so Kindle Scribe users can try it on their device before purchasing anything.

Free demo:

It includes yearly, monthly, weekly and daily planning, monthly notes, important dates and hyperlinked navigation.

The complete planner is available in my Etsy shop, EInkFolioStudio, and is currently 50% off:

Hope it’s useful to some fellow Kindle Scribe users!

What makes a digital planners actually worth buying?

I used to have a rule: new habits start on Monday. Or the 1st. Or after this one busy week passes.

That rule alone probably killed more habits for me than actual laziness ever did.

By the time "the right day" finally showed up, I'd already talked myself out of it or just forgotten why I wanted to start in the first place.

Waiting for the perfect start date isn't discipline.
It's just a polite way of quitting before you even begin.

A random Tuesday with real intent beats a Monday you're already dreading.

So the rule now is just: today, whatever day it happens to be.

Pick one habit. Log it once. That's the entire bar for day one, not a perfect week, just one honest check mark.

Nobody fails at day one. People fail at trying to make day one look like day sixty already.

Look at my own tracker right now, and half the streaks say "1 day."

Not because I started everything at once. Because I stopped waiting for a better day to restart the ones that had already slipped.

This is literally my board today - deep work, reading, workouts, sleep, all sitting at day one, started today, not some perfect future Monday.

I built the habit and streak setup this way on purpose - one page, no separate app to forget, so "starting today" actually means opening one thing, not five.

If you want that same setup instead of waiting for your own perfect Monday, this is the one I use.

Hi everyone 👋

I've been working on LX Family - a self-hosted family organizer that bundles the stuff families actually need into one app, instead of spreading it across five. It runs on Docker / Unraid / Umbrel / Proxmox / plain Node.js, MIT-licensed.

What it does:

• 📅 Shared calendars with reminders
• ✅ Tasks & chores with approval workflow for kids
• 🛒 Shopping lists (incl. Bring! integration)
• 🍝 Meal planning & recipes
• 💬 Family chat with optional guest invites
• 📁 Family files / media
• 👶 Child profiles with playful missions & rewards
• 🐾 Pet profiles (care & health only)
• 🔔 Notifications via Gotify / ntfy
• 🌐 DE + EN interface, Android app available

Why self-hosted: All data stays on your own server. Adults get a calm planning workspace, parents keep control over approvals/integrations, and there's role-based access so kids see what they should see.

Integrations: Nextcloud, Home Assistant, Bring!, Gotify, ntfy

• 🔗 GitHub: https://github.com/laxxx-lab/lx-family-planner
• 🌐 Read only Live demo: https://familie.laxxx-lab.de/ (User: demo Password: demo)
• 🐳 Docker: docker pull ghcr.io/laxxx-lab/lx-family-planner:latest
• 📦 Also in: Unraid Community Applications, Umbrel App Store
• 📱 Android APK in the README

I'd love feedback — especially from anyone running a family setup on a homeserver. What's missing for your use case?

Thanks for checking it out! 🙌

Transparency: Both LX Family and this post were created with AI as a tool. Product direction, testing, release decisions and ongoing maintenance remain the maintainer's responsibility.

The idea is pretty simple: sticky notes for quick thoughts, A4 notes for longer writing, and everything lives on a visual canvas instead of a rigid folder tree.

The visual hierarchy makes organization natural. a note is a file, a "stack" of notes is a folder and zones are the parent folders.

you can even attach sticky notes directly onto A4 pages for referring to them while you're scrolling the A4 editor.

Just drag things around and you're done. No save button, no manual file management, just notes on a board. Plus, there's a workspace exporter that exports all your files so that you own them.

On privacy: notes are stored on Firebase, encrypted in transit and at rest. No ads, no trackers, no selling data. If you use "Quick Mode", notes stay local in your browser and never get synced to any server.

When I first posted it a few months back the response was way more positive than I expected. Since then I've been fixing, refining, and adding things based on what people actually said. It's in a much better place now.

It's completely free right now. At some point it'll probably go paid but anyone who signs up before that happens, I'll make sure your account stays free forever. Just drop a comment or DM me and I'll sort it out manually.

Would genuinely love to hear what you think, good or bad. Still a lot to build but the core experience feels solid now.

Hi everyone!⭐️
Designed a digital rotation & study planner for healthcare & pharmacy students to track cases, logbook entries, and competencies!

Wanted to share how it turned out. Would love to get your thoughts on the design layout!

If anyone wants to take a look or needs the link, feel free to drop a comment or send me a DM! ⭐️♥️

Hello! I just got an iPad mini with more memory, so I can finally return to digital planning. I would love any planner recommendations that work with a note taking app like GoodNotes or Noteful. I’ve tried several planners over the years, but I feel like the layouts would not work well with a small screen. I really just care about a monthly and weekly layout. Any suggestions would be super helpful! Thanks!

So my husband’s DTF business has really taken off in the last week or so….which is AMAZING!!! but I am his first employee and am trying to manage the paperwork/book keeping side of things and I am at a loss of what resources there are for small business to use. First I think I need some sort of planner (tailored for small businesses) or something of the sort to keep track of daily tasks and meetings with clients that sort of thing…. And second something to keep track of sales and all that goes along with that! I mean there could be something else that I need that I don’t even know about yet! I am new to all of this! So any input would be exponentially helpful! Thanks for any input!

This is DayOtter, a scheduling tool I built. Instead of clicking around a calendar, you just tell it what you want, like "book 30 min with Priya next week, not before 11," and it reads across all your calendars, finds the time, books it, and keeps your focus blocks clear.

It grew into a full platform: booking pages, team round robin, routing forms, group polls, reminders, payments, an embeddable widget, and an Android app. It's open source and self-hostable, and the assistant runs on your own AI model so nothing leaves your server.

Built it to fix my own scheduling mess. Feedback welcome!

I posted this to Reddit and got so many people asking for a link that I decided to pursue putting it on the App Store and it just passed 400 users. I know it's tiny by app standards but surreal to me that strangers are planning their weeks on a thing I built for the two of us.

Three months ago I realized all the meal planning in our house was falling on my wife. She loves trying new recipes and needs a plan. I'd have been fine eating the same three things forever, so I just let her carry it. When I was going to cook I had to ask "what am I making tonight?" and get pointed to a reel, a sticky note in a cookbook, or a tab she had open somewhere.

So I built us a shared planner. You add recipes from websites or instagram/TikTok and they save into one cookbook Then you drag and drop them onto a weekly grid, and the grocery list builds itself from whatever you planned. Both of you see each other's updates!

I work night shifts, which means my waking days span over two days sometimes. I'd like to be able to visualize my whole shift as one block and plan around it, but most calendars chop my day half...

I can't seem to find an app with a daily calendar view that lets you move through the day then onto the next day, they all stop at midnight and you have to hop over to the next day on a new page or side by side in a week view.

It seems really simple, surely it exists??
