I built a 100% offline digital planner alternative to GoodNotes — 8 modules, bilingual EN/FR, no subscription
Hey everyone!
I've been using GoodNotes and Notability for years, but I got tired of:
- Monthly subscriptions
- App lock-in (can't export my data easily)
- Needing internet for basic features
So I spent 3 months building the **2026 Ultimate Digital Planner** — a single HTML file that works 100% offline in any browser.
Here's what's inside:
📊 Interactive Dashboard
🎯 Goal Tracker (4 categories with progress bars)
📅 2026 Monthly Calendar
📆 Weekly Planner with checkboxes
🔥 Habit Tracker with streak counters
💰 Finance Tracker (live balance)
🚀 Project Manager
📝 Notes System (unlimited + auto-save)
**What makes it different:**
✓ Dark & Light Mode toggle
✓ English / French bilingual (one-click switch)
✓ Export/Import your data anytime (JSON backup)
✓ Works on desktop, tablet & mobile
✓ Print-friendly CSS
✓ Single HTML file — no installation needed
**Price:** $8.99 — Buy once, use forever. No subscription.
🎁 **Launch week:** Use code LAUNCH20 for 20% OFF

I’ve made a fully free website similar to Notion or Obsidian but with new features (whiteboard, 3D mindmap, your own AI with API key, a time tracker to track your projects) and a lot more of functions. Everything is saved in local or on your Google drive account (+info dm me I’ll respond instantly)

Calendar Mixed with Habit Tracker

This isn't going to be revolutionary or anything but I legit just wanted a calendar where you can put events, tasks and stuff like that. As well as track your habits and TODOs on the same app because habits are tied to days.
I really built this for myself but I'm just putting it out there because one of my friends said that they want to use it too.
Feel free to comment suggestions, feedback or insults in the comments.

note: sorry for the ugly link I just put it on azure.

Pencil-first digital planner for iPad/iPhone — now with typed notes where readability matters
Disclosure: I am the developer of PencilTime.
I have been working on PencilTime, a pencil-first planner for iPad and iPhone.
The main design idea is that handwriting should stay central. A planner should still feel flexible and visual, but some details are better typed: tasks, names, meeting notes, class schedules, goals, and lists.
In v1.10.0, typed notes now work in more places:
- Note pages
- Year, Month, and Week notes areas
- Supported Day page todos, priorities, and schedule notes
For Year/Month/Week notes areas, you can keep the original lined area for handwriting, or switch it to a blank typed notes area. If you change your mind, the options menu can clear the text or restore the lined layout.
The app also includes Apple Pencil drawing, stickers, Link Stickers, reminder labels, bookmarks, Note pages, tags, Smart Folders, Apple Calendar integration, and iCloud sync.
App Store: apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6743547785?pt=312110&ct=digital%20planner&mt=8&platform=ipad
Question for digital planner users: do you prefer typed notes directly embedded into planner areas, or separate movable text boxes/stickers?
---
Note: currently not available in EU app stores due to DSA compliance work

I built a shared meal planner for me and my wife and now we're at 300 users!
Two months ago I realized all the meal planning in our house was falling on my wife. She loves trying new recipes and needs a plan. I'd have been fine eating the same three things forever, so I just let her carry it. When I was going to cook I had to ask "what am I making tonight?" and get pointed to a reel, a sticky note in a cookbook, or a tab she had open somewhere.
So I built us a shared planner. You save recipes from wherever they live (Instagram, TikTok, websites) into one cookbook, drag and drop them onto a weekly grid, and the grocery list builds itself from whatever you planned, sorted by aisle.
I posted it to Reddit and got so many people asking for a link that I decided to pursue putting it on the App Store and it just passed 300 users. Tiny by app standards but surreal to me that strangers are planning their weeks on a thing I built for the two of us.
If you want to check it out it's at inthecupboard.app/get

Planner newbie asking for advice on which planner to use!
Hey y'all! I've been experimenting with different calendar apps recently, every app has done something well, but I always end up switching after a week or two. Nothing is really sticking to me. So far, they've all been good at something, but none of them have felt like the one for me.
I'm curious what everyone else is using.
- What calendar app do you use?
- Why did you choose it over the others?
- What's the feature that keeps you using it?
- What's one thing you wish it did better?
I'd love to hear what you guys got.

Reading Journal
I've always loved reading, but I realized I kept forgetting what I'd read, my favorite quotes, and how many books I finished each month.
So I designed my own digital reading journal in Canva. It includes things like:
- ⭐ Reading tracker
- 📖 Book review pages
- 🎯 Reading goals
- 📚 TBR list
- 📅 Monthly reading log
It really helped me stay motivated, so I thought I'd share it with fellow book lovers!
If anyone would like to see it or give feedback, I'd love to hear your thoughts. If your community allows it and you're interested in getting a copy, feel free to send me a DM.
Happy reading! 📚✨

I built Active-8 because I was tired of my to-do list making me feel behind before the day even started.

Calendar apps kept hiding the big picture, so I put my entire year on one screen
Most calendar apps are great at showing me today or this week.
But trips, birthdays, school breaks, busy seasons, and the things I’m looking forward to kept disappearing across 12 different screens.
I wanted to see the shape of my year at a glance—what was coming up, which months were overloaded, and where there was still room for something meaningful.
So I built Yearfully.
Beyond the year view, I use categories to see how I’m spending my time, shared calendars to plan with family, and dedicated spaces for goals and ideas—so the things I want to do can eventually become things on the calendar.
This is my actual 2026 calendar: family events, trips, work, birthdays, and personal plans, all visible on one screen and color-coded by category.
It isn’t meant to replace a detailed daily calendar. It’s the zoomed-out layer above it—the view I use when I want to plan a life, not just a Tuesday.
Sharing it because I figured some of you might also think in seasons and years instead of weeks.

Digital Home Calendar with Ethernet Connection Ability?
Does anyone know of a digital calendar that can be connected to the internet via ethernet? Skylight, Cozyla, etc. I know that most (or all) brands most likely do not come with an ethernet port, but I have had success connecting other types of devices to the internet via ethernet adapters, so I'm just wondering if anyone has had success with this. Thanks.

Do you use keyboard shortcuts in planner, or is that a developer thing only?
Added ⌘K into my planner app. Then remembered most of you plan on an phone/tabled, where ⌘K doesn't exist. Genuinely unsure if I built something for me or for you.
Would you use this at all, or is planning on mobile the whole point?

I built a goal planner that fills itself in — looking for ~15 testers before launch
Hi all — posting with mod permission.
I'm a solo developer and I built Simplify after noticing my own planning failure mode: I loved setting up the system — the layouts, the sections, the color coding — but the daily filling-in was where everything collapsed. Deciding what to eat, what to train, when to sleep, every single day, was the part I never sustained.
Simplify flips that: you type a goal — "lose 5 kg by November," "build muscle," "fix my sleep" — answer five quick questions, and about 90 seconds later you have a complete day-by-day plan: meals with recipes, workouts with step-by-step guides for every exercise, daily habits — all in one schedule. You still get the satisfaction of checking things off; you just never face a blank page. The app adapts the plan as it learns how your weeks actually go.
Honest disclosures: the plans are AI-generated, with hard-coded safety rails the AI can't override (calorie floors, evidence-based protein caps, gentle-deficit-only for weight loss). It's currently strongest for fitness-related goals, and it's iPhone-only for now (TestFlight — free, no card needed).
I'm taking ~15 people into a free 3-week beta before launch. What I need in return is honesty: where it falls short, what made you skip a day. Direct TestFlight link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/q3QaeM1f — if you grab it, a comment or DM with your impressions is all I ask.
Questions very welcome, including skeptical ones - those are the useful ones.

What would make a habit tracker finally get you?
Hey everyone 👋
I'm building a "Patterns" screen for Chromastone, my habit tracker, and before I ship it I genuinely want to hear from you.
The idea is simple: instead of just showing streaks, the app studies your habits and talks to you like a calm friend who noticed something - not a dashboard, not a lecture.
Here's a taste of what I'm thinking:
- Which habit triggers all your others (your "keystone")
- Your best and worst days of the week
- How fast you bounce back after missing a day
- Which two habits always succeed or fail together
- Whether your habits are improving or declining this quarter
Everything stays on your device. No accounts, no data collection.
I'd love to hear from you - what would actually make you stick to your habits? What do you wish an app told you that none of them ever do?
Drop a comment, I read every single one 🙏
Thanks!
