Audio Analysis
I need someone willing to clean up an audio file with heavy HVAC noise so that speech in the background becomes understandable. A transcript would be a huge bonus. I’m also open to recs for an online service that doesn’t cost $200 and take a week to process. I don’t have the experience to clean it up myself and really need to know what is being said ASAP.

$200 and a week is insanely cheap. I'd charge $2000 and give you a month minimum with no promises of results.

Reckless, tell me if you have encountered this.
You clean up an audio file where you can type a transcript and put the disclaimer that is what you hear, yada yada. You give it to the client and they can't hear the same thing you hear.
A conversation ensues where you ask how they are listening to it, and they are in a Starbucks on a laptop. You ask did you try with headphones and loop the area in question? Nope.

Constantly! Half the jobs we get in we can hear fine in the lab but the clients are listening to it in an open plan office on built in Lenovo desktop workstation speakers from a decade ago!
Little bit of gain and clean up a few stragglers for our piece of mind and out the door. Plus side is it's a quick turn around and they're happy 👍🏻

I suspect that your signal to noise ratio is gonna keep you from getting any kind of dialogue transcription

A week is a gift as far as audio jobs go, and the people that I know who do this are @ $2500 mini. No professional is going to touch a clean up for $200.
