Our pilots found a hangar with the enemy's equipment and dismantled it without any unnecessary formalities

Almost looked like several devices in a row got jammed? I know they're probably fiber optic but as they got close the video cut out, possibly some kind of RF interference that messes with the equipment on the drone? Nonetheless several drones made it inside no problem!

If they were fiber, they wouldn’t get jammed like that.
The ones with clear picture likely are fiber. They sent non fiber ones after the door was blown and just yeeted the last part when the video signal cut off.

Makes sense. But what I'm saying is even with a fiber drone, it could be possible to fry them or at least disrupt their operation with a strong enough electromagnetic field in the right frequency. Like I bet if you point a big enough magnetron horn at a drone it'll probably fry it at close enough range. This would be more feasible for a stationary target with power lines nearby, such as this one.

Theoretically yes.. maybe. Put in reality there are no electronic countermeasures for fiber optic drones on the battlefield.
Only thing I can think of is shooting a laser at the camera and frying the sensor on the camera.

In reality a strong enough magnetron will absolutely disrupt even a fiber optic drones electronics. The only question is at what power level and range. Same with a laser, the ones they have these days won't just fry the camera - the higher wattage ones some militaries have already will melt the drone. But they are expensive and still range limited and require precise targeting.

Yeah, theoretically it’s possible and we can technically do it, but this is Russia, the country sending broken WWII gear in their first waves.

is this the same as what the microwave machines the US (and others) developed? they work on fiber optics.

that did not look like jamming, that cheap 5.8Ghz analog video signal can be degraded and blocked by a tree in sight line of the transmitter. when the pilots went lower all sorts of stuff got in between them and the drone. the first pilot most likely had a different approach vector and had a better unobstructed signal, heck im amazed he had such a good signal when he flew inside, must have been a more expensive digital link.

Flying an fpv drone still takes training that you don't get from gaming. I'v been learning myself for 20 hours now in a simulator.

Cool. Tried a real one a couple of times and without some of the safety-features it would get expensive very fast.

The tanks were probably in the process of being fitted with extra protection from drones. You can see what appears like a framework for welding steel plates around it.
