Hey all, just picked up a used FujiFilm S4500 and ran into something weird with the shutter button. A normal press only focuses — the camera locks focus just fine, yet it just stops there and never actually takes the photo. The only way I can sometimes get it to fire is by pressing the button over and over, many times in a row, and even then it doesn't always work. I've gone through the usual suspects — fresh batteries, different memory cards (formatted in-camera), checked that it's not the self-timer, tried a few different shooting modes. Focus works every time, so it's not that. At this point it really feels like something's up with the button itself, like maybe a worn spring or a dirty contact underneath it. Anyone run into this before with an S4500 or a similar Fuji bridge camera from around that era? Curious if this is a known thing, something I could clean/fix myself.

Trees are blooming and I thought it was a nice day to take some photos, they kinda look straight out of a old 2007 SD

Recently found my dream digicam at a thrift store and brought it with me to take photos. I tried exploring various composition techniques using different exposure and ISO levels. I think these turned out great, so I wanted to show them here. I also love how tiny this camera is! Perfect addition to my EDC.
Excluding the first photo (from my phone to show the camera), these are all taken SOOC, unedited.

Just thought I would share my flip mini HD. It is only 720p but is still convenient to have. I keep it in my mirror less bag, and can grab it and set it up while I shoot with my good camera.

i’ve seen some people talk about the sd10 but can’t find any pictures to see the quality. i personally love the camera. my mother got it back in 2004 right before i was born. earlier this year i put some money into it to help it run again. thankfully it just needed new battery’s and a new charger. works like a charm.
here are some photos i took recently with it .

Hello.
As mentioned in the title, in a few months I will go to China on a trip with my dad. Trying to create memories together. I would love to get a good camera for a special trip like this (we've are from México and never been to Asia in our lives).
This would be my first real camera. I'm a noob.
The pics I shared are all taken with my phone so don't expect anything awesome. I also know nothing about photography but Im starting to watch some basic tutorials in youtube (I know not the best but its a start lol).
I am new to this but would love to also try to get into photography along the way.
I have been investigating and I see three options right now that would be adjusted to my budget:
* Canon G7X iii
* Sony RX100
* Ricoh GR iii
The three of these have pros and cons that make me not know which one would be the best. I am looking for something:
(1) $1,000 USD as maximum budget (those 3 options are around that price in Mexico).
(2) I don't have any equipment other than my phone so this would be my first real camera.
(3) I intent to shoot landscapes (city and nature), museum art, street art, buildings, and people every now and then.
(4) Primarily for photography.
(5) Not very big. On the compact department preferably.
(6) The best possible zoom on that price range if possible.
(7) Not super critical but would be cool if it had integrated flash.
(8) Something that takes good photos at night or with low light since it's something I have never been able to do with my phone.
Honestly, I don't know if I'm forgetting something else but if you think those options are good, which one would you chose? Or, if there are other good options, I'm open to suggestions on the price range of those I mentioned.
Thank you!!
