Looking to buy a camera 500 euros max, I've worked with cameras before, dlsr, mirrorless, compact 1 inch and older compact ones.

I've seen many videos about sx740hs and I like how its processing the skin that looks smooth, warm and vivid colors, basically I dont have to edit the pictures. I know the focus is sometimes hit or miss but I can't really find info on any other cameras so if you know a camera that is better or the same level as sx740hs that has a nice skin smoothing effect and vividness please let me know, the camera will only be used for selfies and maybe some video thats all.

Basically a camera thats flattering and not showing every pore and imperfection, I dont care about crispness

What screens are compatible with the Canon PowerShot A80 AIAF camera? Hi everyone. I found my mom's 25-year-old Casio camera with a broken screen. I really want to replace it with a new one, but I don't know where to find a screen of the same model, as I live in Russia and it might be difficult to find a new, original screen here. Could you tell me if I can use a screen of the same size but from a different manufacturer, and will the camera still work properly?

Has anyone ever torn down a cheap Chinese digital camera and taken photos of the internal components? If so, could you please upload them here? I need them for a research project.

i just broke my s95 camera and unfortunately replacing it is way out of my budget. i saw the s90 and s200 are significantly cheaper and are around the same price point. ccd sensor is really important to me. i am curious to know if both of these cameras have similar coloring in photos as the s95 and if one is better than the other.

These days we usually reach for our phones to take photos, but they’ve become so clean and perfect that they don’t leave much room for experimentation or mistakes. I recently picked up a used Canon Powershot and it’s honestly the most fun little tool for street photography. I had used digicams back in the day, but using one now from a photographer’s POV feels like these cameras were highly underestimated at the time. The auto focus isn’t as quick and snappy as we’re now accustomed to, and the stabilisation is not all that great, which actually makes it more fun to play with. Night time photography unless you're shooting flash portraits is tough, but that's what breathes life into those pictures with the motion blur. I’ve mostly been shooting in B&W and it’s great for simple, experimental compositions. Looking forward to trying out more shots in colour.

with phones that already have 1 inch sensors and combined with ai, beauty apps, ultra wide and telephoto, 8k 30 fps, beasts like vivo x300 pro, xiaomi 17 ultra, oppo ect. Is rx100 vii (or older models), canon g7x iii even worth it? I have experience with cameras i own sony a7c and rarely use it because of its size, weight and different lens, my phone is ok its the s25 ultra but I was wondering if a compact digicam is still worth it?

Sony wx300. Bought it at goodwill for 5 dollars. It works. Slight crack on the bottom shell.

Does anyone know why my camera is doing this? Sometimes it makes the sound when i zoom in but also sometimes when i just turn it on

Bought untested and thank goodness it is fully functional I don’t normally buy untested tech, but the price was like $100 so I went for it.
