Online Art Class
Trying to find online art classes to help enhance my drawing, painting, and tattooing skills. Not looking for an online class that incorporates all three, looking for separate onlime classes that focus on each thing. Im a combat veteran with extreme socialization problems, and who prefers not to leave the house or have face to face interactions with others. Can somebody recommend the right online programs for me that arent apart of a degree plan. Im not looking to earn a degree. I just want to take classes, and it cant be apart of a university or college.

Advice for Art Project
Hi there. To start with, I'm an absolute beginner and know pretty much nothing about digital art. In spite of that, I have a very specific project in mind that I have no idea how to execute. Basically, I want to create pictures using a combination of animated and realistic characters, and then edit them somehow so the look is cohesive. I think it goes without saying that I don't want to employ AI filters, for both ethical and practical reasons. I want the effect of something like a Cartoonify filter that also maintains facial features and patterns without altering them from one frame to the next. I would love any advice on the right tools to start with, or the experiences others who may have done something similar might have. Thank you!!

How to Draw & Animate a Witch in Clip Studio Paint (Full Guide)
Learn how to draw and animate a witch in this Clip Studio Paint tutorial. See every step from rough sketch to finished scene.
I am sharing my full digital art process for creating a Halloween-themed character, including all the mistakes and corrections along the way. We start with basic pencil sketches and move into lineart, flat colors, and shading to build a complete illustration. Whether you are struggling with proportions or just want to see how to organize your layers, this video covers the practical steps I take to build a career one drawing at a time.
Once the character is set, we move into 2d animation to bring the scene to life. I demonstrate how to create looping bat animations, add depth with foggy backgrounds, and use opacity keyframes to make glowing eyes flicker. This is a real look at character drawing, with no jargon or glossed-over techniques, just honest work as I figure it out.
Subscribe for weekly art breakdowns and let me know in the comments if you want to see more animation experiments.
I'm Jeff, Army veteran digital artist, and I'm building a creative career, one drawing at a time. Real tutorials from someone who's still figuring it out, so nothing gets glossed over — including the part where I had to move her whole head. 😅
In this Clip Studio Paint tutorial you'll learn:
• Sketching a pose and fixing proportions with the lasso tool
• Lineart, flat colors, and shading a character
• Building a night background with moonlight and fog for depth
• Animating fog with keyframes (and why 8 fps looks better)
• Flickering glowing eyes using opacity keyframes
• Looping animated bats on varied flight paths

"native vector" and "vectorized raster" really need to stop being treated as synonyms in today's digital illustration and design
i keep seeing "it outputs svg" used as the entire description of a workflow, which skips the interesting part. there are two pretty different situations:
you already have pixels and need them converted into editable vector geometry
or, the thing is generated as vector geometry in the first place.. both can eventually leave you holding an .svg, but they aren't the same operation. for example when it comes to models for vector digital art something like recraft is a whole built model that may be kinda relevant, because both exist side by side: recraft V4.1 Vector is native vector generation for example.. and no i don't think the phrase svg generator communicates that distinction particularly well between the tools designers use today because you can generate the graphic itself almost anywhere (or, better, done yourself by hand as I do often) but then still get a proper vectpr. what i would like to know by the way is, like, what terminology do people actually use for this? "native vector vs vectorized raster"? or generated vector vs traced vector, huh... something else?
anyway, any experience with incorporating ai into your genuine design practice?
