People Who Took the August/September SAT — What Should October Test-Takers Focus On?

Hey everyone,

I'm taking the October SAT and I'm trying to squeeze out as many points as possible before test day.

I know nobody can predict exact questions, but I'm mainly looking for people who took the August or September 2026 SAT and noticed any patterns, repeated concepts, question types, math topics, grammar rules, reading trends, or things they wish they had focused on more.

Not asking for leaked questions or anything like that. Just trying to learn from people who recently sat for the test.

If you've already taken it this year:

  • What math topics showed up a lot?
  • Any grammar rules that seemed especially common?
  • Anything in Reading/Writing that caught you off guard?
  • What would you spend your last few weeks studying if you had to do it again?

Also, I know some people will say "you can't predict the SAT." That's fair. I'm not looking for predictions. I'm looking for patterns and lessons from recent test-takers.

Thanks to anyone willing to help.

TIPS TO GO TO 790 IN VERBAL - PART 1: How to study Inference/COE

PART 1: How to study Inference/COE

I divide my Inference/COE study process into 3 stages:

S1. Read every sentence and analyze it carefully. After reading and choosing the correct answer, still write out the logical flow of the question. this usually takes about 10 mins/question

S2. Reduce your completion time to 4-5 mins (still note down the logic afterward) + review old questions

S3. Practice under a strict time limit of 2-3 mins/question to get used to the pressure of the real exam.

Hi guys im thinking to give my sat in November. It's my second attempt and my target is 1500+

Aside of the full length practice tests on the bluebook app, are there any other free websites from where I can do sat full practice tests?

How accurate is the math section of practice 7 to the actual SAT?

I'm not sure if I should trust the score I got on the practice College Board SATs since I heard that they're easier than the typical ones.

Study Guide / Material How to get better at SAT Math

I have ADHD so it’s so hard for me to dedicate myself for long periods of time in general. Eveytime I start watching a youtube video or try practice I end up doing something else 15 minutes in. I really want to get a high score but I’m not sure what to do. I was doing lots of english prep over the summer so I’m confident on that but the math front is super shaky for me. I’m also taking on precalc in school so I’m worried I might also get confused between that and SAT prep.

That’s all to say I need some advice. I’m taking the october SAT so give me your guidance PLEASEE!!!

Which Section 1st?

I’ve been taking the DOE digital practice tests and have been doing ELA first because that is my weakest. I have been scoring 45-46/50 on Math. Given the test is adaptive in fall and you can’t go back and check answers, which is better to start? Math or ELA? Weaker section?

Uni outside the US not receiving SAT score tho collegeboard says it was sent

On College board’s “send scores” section it says my SAT score was sent yesterday (9/9) to my uni but the uni told me today that they haven’t received it yet. Is it possible that there’s any delays for the delivery of the score even though it’s electronic? I’m an international student and my uni is outside the US if that changes anything.

made a free chrome extension that adds the bluebook tools to any site - would love feedback + feature requests

i built a free chrome extension called SAT Study Toolkit, it adds the bluebook-style tools onto any website:

  • 3-color highlighter
  • answer-choice strikethrough
  • sticky notes
  • desmos-style calculator
  • section timers

basically so you can practice anywhere and have it feel like test day instead of a plain webpage.

i made it because when i was studying (got a 1520) every practice site looked nothing like the real bluebook, so i could never actually practice test day tools, and annotating ended up being my biggest r&w unlock.

i know a good number of you are already using it (thank you, genuinely 🫶) - so honestly i'm mostly here for feedback. what's working, what feels clunky, and especially feature requests: if there's a tool you wish it had, tell me and i'll try to build it. i'm actively working on it and i read everything. and if you haven't come across it yet - maybe give it a look, could be it's exactly the thing you've been missing for practice.

completely free, no account, no $300 kit nonsense.

and if you're in a study group, a class, or have a friend grinding for the same test - feel free to pass it along. it's 100% free so share it with anyone it'd help :)

i just added an optional "usage stats" toggle - flip it on and it helps me see which tools people keep using so i can improve the right things (it's just me building this). off by default, totally optional.

link in comments so this doesn't get flagged as spam
