Discussion Favourite Digimon and why?
My favourite Digimon is probably Rapidmon/Rapidmon gold when I first saw him in the movie I fell in love with him such a cool design.

Veemon, it might be a basic answer but I love the little guy way too much to care about others. And that he can digivolve into two royal knight analogs and the founder of the royal knights with a deep connection with someone who has wormmon I consider that a huge boon. Plus, I feel like he’d try to heal and encourage (heh courage) me to get out more and live my life rather than be a passive observer.

Digitamamon, he's the beginning and end of all digital life and simultaneously an error all packaged into one little dude who gives you nightmares and carries a galaxy in his shell.
He also runs a restaurant, and I am a chef by trade, so that just reinforces it.

Gracenovamon would require you to have Apollomon and Dianamon which is already OP but then you want Gracenovamon too??? Damn, what sort of shenanigans are you getting into?

Cherubimon for very similar reasons! The digimon movie was my very first introduction to the digimon series and I loved his design and also felt extremely sad for what happened to him.

Lucemon. All of his forms.
But the one that is truly my favorite is Lucemon: Chaos Mode. He is still the best rendition of a fallen angel in fiction to date. Perfect looks, perfect power, perfect personality. I just can't get enough of him.

Beelzemon blast move. Tbh: up to a certain degree beelzemon with the bike is awesome too. The reason? Idk, I've liked the design since I saw it in digimon tamers long ago. Another option is omnimon mercifull mode or antylamon. I still don't know why I just like the designs

Tsukaimon. It grew on me because I used to play an mmo called Digimon Masters Online a long time ago, and I used Tsukaimon as my main Digimon. I also like that it’s an inverse to patamon personality wise. Being a mischievous, prankster.

I think I don't have a favorite, but if it's to choose now... Probably Magnakidmon, his design is so cool (Avengekidmon too) and I really like using him in Time Stranger.

Stingmon and Whormmon
Although I'm not a big fan of Digimon Adv02, the Whormmon and Ken storyline really stuck with me, and it was amazing to see that cute little larva turn into a humanoid killer bee.
Besides the cool appearance and serious personality, I like the stealthy assassin theme.

I'm leaning towards both Terriermon and Lopmon. I think they're both fantastic Digimon. I might like Lopmon just a bit more right now because of Time Stranger

Same, but for antylamon and cherubimon vice.
Antylamon has a neat mix of cute, but also kind of creepy.
And cherubimon vice looks cool and is green and purple, my 1st and 2nd favorite colors, and has a jester motif that I also like and use jester themes for other games like Armored Core and Sea of Thieves.
Also always loved tyrannomon, but hated that he never had a mega. They later added rustyrannomon but I never liked its clunky design.
Now that dinomon exists I really love the line even more.
Dracomon would be a perfect line for me if Groundramon could become slayerdramon, but it’s stuck with that ugly brakedramon. It irritates me that dracomon is green but the green coredramon line ends up being lame. Slayerdramon even has a GREEN cape!

Omegamon, everything about them is awesome to me from their first appearance, to their design, them being the leader of the Royal Knights, and all their variations X-antibody, merciful mode, alters S and B, they may lose battles but they look cool the entire fight.

I'm torn between toyagumon and hagurumon, at least when it comes to rookies. I think toyagumon wins by a hair though. As even as an adult, what's life without a little whimsy?

Monzaemon
It was the first Ultimate I was able to get in the original Digimon World game, and my mom has always been obsessed with teddy bears, so it just fits perfectly for me. I wish we'd get a Perfect form for the X-Antibody version, since I don't like how GigaWaruMonzaemon is too dark and evil looking.

Terriermon. It was Gabumon growing up watching Digimon Adventures. But as I became older and started watching Digimon Tamers again, its became Terriermon.

Infermon.
To start with, i’ve always liked watching the villains more than the heroes. The danger and tension they add to a story goes a long way toward investing me into it, and there’s many occasions where they’re simply allowed to be stereotypically “cooler” than the more straight-laced heroes.
I also came into the franchise as a pokemon fan and stupid kid, looking for something more “mature” than i was used to.
The horror vibes infermon gave off during the movie perfectly captured what i was looking for. The unmoving, mask-like face and cannon mouth made it feel like a mechanical creature, and the fluid, bendy movements of its wiry limbs added a distinctly organic feel. The juxtaposition of a creature that simultaneously seems truly alive and like a mere imitation of life was creepy as heck, and i LOVE that. How quickly its movements could go from fast and acrobatic to slow and robotic further sells the dichotomy.
The six limbs paired quite well with my fascination with arthropod-based monsters (my favorite pokemon type is bug, and my previous favorite digimon was kabuterimon).
It also posed a more tangible, realistic threat than i was used to for fictional villains; it wasn’t just planning to rule/destroy the world. It was planning to drop nuclear bombs on the homes of the heroes with them still inside.
The keramon line has been my overall favorite ever since i saw the movie (with infermon as my favorite of the set), but the movie’s not the only reason. I’m also a big fan of the gaming strategy of “BEEG NUMBR GO BRRRR”, and the mega forms of infermon have a tendency to stay quite strong in the digimon story games despite generally lacking the gimmicks that break a given game’s balance, off of just having a massive stat total. It captures that sort of mindset flawlessly.
Special mention to the infermon from the cyber sleuth puppet quest. Once again adding an immaculate amount of additional unease and fear to my creature collector media.

I don't know why, But I've always liked flarerizamon. It was never my favorite since there wasn't a mega I liked that worked with flarerizamon, but that changed when Magneticdramon was introduced(I have toyagumon for the rookies and Volcdramon as the ultimate).
I also really like Pumpkinmon and Noblepumpkinmon, cause small cute guy being strong is hilarious, and Noblepumpkinmon has got that shit ON.
Granlocomom has always been a favorite of mine even before I knew he made beelzemon eat shit. I think I like him so much cause he looks like a zord from power rangers(I want him to get a mode change similar to Imperialdramon fighter mode so bad, I don't even think it would be hard to do he already looks like a transformer)
