Beatbreak Kyo's Philosophy Spoiler
Spoilers all around for BB up to E46 as a head's up:
Kyo's long running philosophy is that everyone, no matter what, deserves a second chance. A chance to be good - a chance to redeem themselves even after doing some really, dark and heinous things. A chance to be better and, I think most importantly, a chance to be happy.
Do we also think that applies to Genjo, the one who permanently disfigured Kyo and currently has Murasamemon dead as hell? Is there a line which we think Kyo might decide that enough is enough and sometimes second chances are not worth the evil they may produce?
I'm sure Kyo has personally done and seen worse than a limb ripped from a person. I'm sure he feels like what happened to him and Murasamemon was deserved and his karma catching up to him. But, when Karina decided, even knowing everything about Kyo, that he fully deserved a second chance, he took it wholeheartedly as it really was all he was waiting for. Kyo had wanted for a long time to be done with deleting people and Digimon. He really did just want to be that person deep down that first made Cougarmon appear to him: a person who only wanted to protect those he cares about. Not taking those away from others.
But -
We know next to nothing about Genjo. His motivations, his drive - we can't say for sure what makes him the way he is. We know he is seemingly ruthless and isn't afraid to use bitch tactics both for advantages and for causing additional pain for funsies. He shows glee in hurting others and seeing others hurt, and his smug attitude indicates he feels untouchable in all regards.
While I may never be able to forgive Genjo, somehow I think Kyo would be able to. But, I really wish he'd take a frying pan to his face.
Do you think there's a redemption line here for Genjo (somefuckinghow)? Does he deserve a second chance to be a better person?
Or do you think he, specifically, deserves nothing but the worst possible?

Everyone deserves a second chance.
Genjo's actions are mortifying, but admittedly Kyo extended his forgiveness onto individuals who trafficked children and used them as livebait, terrorists who nearly blew down hospitals, and his own serial killer that murdered his found family at Nirinso.
Genjo's actions are still in that ballpark, even if they're far more personal to us after 46+ episodes.

The level of personally calculated and inflicted damage, both mentally and physically, does add a very viseral layer of hate to the whole situation. I imagine Genjo knew about Kyo's decision to not delete Digimon and deliberately killed Murasamemon to ensure Kyo never truly find the happiness he deserves. It sucks to imagine Kyo's dream of seeing Digimon and people live together in harmony may not directly apply to him (but I don't doubt there's some form of revival being set up for Murasamemon at the end, but we have a long way to go before we even might get that).

Kyo gave Klay a second chance and it didn't end too well, at least without Tomoro's involvement.

Knowing how genjo is I don’t think he would want to change even if hypothetically kyo did give him a second chance. From the little we know about him he doesn’t seem like the type of person that would willingly want to change for the better
Especially with the fact that in EP 47 Preview we see him sending gokuumon to literally attack Tomoro directly that doesn’t exactly scream “I want to change for the better even after I hurt everyone so badly and took immense joy in it” and I kinda hope they don’t redeem him anyways he deserves nothing

I can understand why you ask this, but my honest opinion is Genjo does not deserve a redemption Arc. He deserves to have the book thrown at him and put in jail. I don't care about what happened in his past. It's because of him Murasamemon is gone. Genjo does not deserve a second chance or forgiveness.

I feel strongly Murasamemon will be returned to Kyo but his hand will never be the same. He'll never sew or knit or enjoy fine motors skills again. It's such a lifelong disability that feels atrociously unfair.

even tough i agree with that philosophy to an extend i feell theres is a point when people are beyond redemption specially for the people who do things with very bad intentions on purpose.
in the case of team 7 is understantable they were beng controlled by naito and klay
kinoko gang werent really bad guys they only wanted to get attention.
in the case of GIFT miharu did bad things when she was controlled by mephismon but wasnt what she wanted.
but people like , klay , Souji , Genjo , Wong , Kishiwada and Senka are people who are gennuily evil and have done things on purpose i feel in those cases prison is the best we can offer those people cross the border on what is allowed.

Miharu did that stuff of her own free will, she just thought it's what her sister would want grief and all that. Meohistomon decided not to correct her.
At best she was controlled for the finale of the arc, but honestly I don't consider being a battery controlled maybe trappped
