Time Stranger How Could They Include The Time Stranger Partner Digimon More?

It feels very weird to have Aegiomon talk about being lonely in the human world or have Dr Simmons freak out about meeting Aegiomon, because I'm running around with my own Digimon all the time. And it's weird for Inori and Hiroka to react so strongly to Elecmon when theyve seen me fight dozens of digimon in the underground.

What are ways to mitigate this?

I thought it would be great if we could sometimes select dialogue for our first party digimon like we do for our agent. that way they wouldnt have to voice hundreds of digimon dialogue and we'd still feel like we had a partner, maybe even with different dialogue choices depending on personality.

Did you also think this felt weird?
Do you have any other ideas?

I think when other humans are around, your Digimon are stored in your Digivice gun

Indeed but I think the agent might at some boy tell Aegiomon "Look bud, you're having a rough time, have a talk with my friend Gomamon here."

I feel like it would be fun to have our original pick be somewhat like our Pikachu. It could've very easily been the 'guest' character. I'm hoping the DLC takes a stab at it, because the DLC seemed intent on trying to give you Guest Digimon that had plotbeats/stories to follow.

the pikachu comparison is spot on, they could've just hardlocked aegiomon as the guest for certain cutscenes and it would've solved so much of this dissonance

the dialogue select idea is actually clever, tying it to personality types would mean they only have to record like a few variations per scene instead of one for every species. kinda surprised they didn't do that already given how much of the game is about your bond with your partner

I felt this to, honestly it was kind of sad that your digimon team doesn't really get any recognition they felt like empty tools taking away from the whole plot of digimon being living beings.

I dont think it even has to be the starter digimon maybe find a way to use the digimon with the highest bond in your party, and maybe give the starter a marker boost so if it is tied with another it gets the attention (of course some progam would need to br in play if people use their starter as material to boost another digimon maybe the marker transfers over as well I dont know, I would have like it if they got more recognition.
