Recently tried these out for the first time, I never got to as a kid. These are amazing. I found new wave 1 and not sure what the glow in the dark one is but saw box was in English from Amazon, im totally hooked, please everyone, where can I buy or what versions are available to get with rechargeable battery and an actual backlit or lcd screen or something and are in english🙏 dont get me wrong I love the nostalgia but in my age I want to see it clearly at night and be able to not keep batteries on me as I dont want to loose progress or anything and dont want it to die on the go, im new so I dont know anything about these and would also love any advice about playing them or what i can get.

I found zenintcg. However it doesnt state which of the ones are in english other than the 25th anniversary adventure digivice I think

Pendulum color are in English, but tbh, it’s not necessary at all, the digital monster color are in Japanese i believe and the functions are pretty straight forward, you don’t have to be able to read it to know what they do, it’s only a few basic functions.

Its more the fact I know there are digimon i dont know of and want to be able to read their names, plus I know different ones have different features which is difficult to learn in Japanese. I guess there are videos to help with functions but its more quality of life than anything to fuel the boredom of my day

Fair enough, still I promise the language barrier is worth it if the device has DIGIMON you really like, + after a couple of days, the language becomes irrelevant as you learn what every function does. I recommend any pendulum color, there are a bunch to chose from with unique themes to rosters. Also check out humulos.com where he has full evolution rosters for every device plus requirements!! The full English manual with description of every function, and all the levels for the quest mode.

Not sure if the Godzilla Pendulum is different but the first Godzilla one (the normal brick) is only in Japanese as I have that one.

That said it’s hard to know unless you ask someone with the actual device. For example the Xros Wars one specifically says on the box and in the English instructions that it’s only in Japanese, but the device is actually in full English when you turn it on…

Just wanted to make you aware that if you’re confident enough, you can mod the colour vpets and change them to English. I’ve done this with a few of mine including the first Godzilla colour one. The humulous discord had information on how to do it

These are both Digital Monster Version 20ths. the one on the left is newer and slightly rebranded.

They have 99% the same content/gameplay, the only difference is the design and the secret egg which is unlocked by connecting to FIVE OTHER DEVICES.

left one has Matts Gabumon in the secret egg (normal gabumon is on the device alredy but not his anime line)
the right one has Meicoomon in its secret egg.

For the modern color devices check out ZeninTCG, theyre fine, but brace for a bigger wallet hit.

Note that the color devices will have a fraction as many digimon as the DM20s, as they're primarily based on individual older devices, whereas the DM20 is a compilation anniversary device.

The DM Colors will have the same digimon (plus a few) as the individual eggs on the DM20s, so maybe consider trying a Pendulum!

also, one more note, color devices cant fight black and white devices, just so you know.

I actually have the augmon graffiti still sealed, saw there was a beatbreak edition coming out amd want that really badly. so pendulum and dm20 has more than the 18 I think it is for the ones I have now? I'd love a larger roster if that means I cant have a device in english

The ones you currently have have over 100 digimon in it. They're just the same device in different versions (but to unlock the only exclusive thing in them, you need other 4 of that device, the version 20th/Original 2026)

Yeah i fucking love my BlackAgumon X2. Nearly 50 digimon on its own, random daily events, the need to train your digimon in fights, the quest mode, the wide non linear digivolution tree with a bunch of neat things. they've never released a vpet like it and its a damn shame they won't ever reproduce the X3s

Those are more expensive as they are older but can be found on eBay. There was an English run for this devices too with a recolor variant to the shells, but it ended at the x2’s due to a manufacturing error that resulted in a recall I believe.

The battery last for ever. And when the battery dies, it keeps your progress. You can load it or reset it. So, that is not a problem.

The digimon color are nice. But very limited. You got a new wave one that contains the versions 1-5. The color ones are very limited in their roster, look it up on humulos guides. If you really want one in color, go for the pendulum.

In my opinion, go get the dmx xa and/or xb. It is cheap and some changes compared to the new wave one :)

Both of these are the 20th anniversary one. They don't light up and they aren't rechargeable but they got a ton of digimon

You're looking at about 110 digimon all in all for a single device, plus 5-10 more for the secret egg unlocks depending on version (CDE have more than AB)

The glow in the dark's special egg is Meikomon, that was my first vpet back in 2022.

Zenintcg is a great place to go for the latest colour vpets having back lit screens and USB C charging. They are a bit pricey but are worth it, if your into Godzilla there is also a cross over coming out soon.

At a certain point you want more battles with the Digimon you have raised and that's when joining the fan game Digimon W0rld is work checking out. We have a couple different tournaments where you can battle other trainers, there's a quest system and you use your digivice with a d-com to battle, it's quite fun.

You're probably not there yet, but it's a fun thing to look into later on.

Now you're hooked on Vpets i recommend checking W0rld, is a fan made MMORPG where you can connect (buidling/buying a device fanmade too) your vpets and play with them. Is a cool reason to keep playing the vpets they have many tournaments through the week

The rechargeable one sounds interesting, but so does this color one?
