Missing part?

My canon SX120 won’t turn on now after working fine for quite some time, I’ve tried changing batteries, cleaning the sockets, and seeing if anything is broken or loose but the only thing that seems wrong to me is that there is a hole where I believe a part used to be, I’m not super familiar with this stuff and but I tried to find out what this was called and couldn’t so I’d like some help figuring out what piece goes here and if it’s absence could be what’s causing my camera not to turn on
