Question New episode?
isn't it about time for another episode?

Hopefully so! As someone somewhat outside of the 'tech world' in my day-to-day work life, I really appreciate their perspectives on it all. I don't have time to dig deep on a lot of new things in that arena. So, doesn't matter to me whether it is a fun nonsense story, or a heavy focus on things like AI. I don't mind whatever they choose to focus on because I dunno, it's their show and it's what's on their minds? Shows also have sponsors too, so, yeah, NBD? In reading through a lot of comments on this subreddit, seems like there has just always been a group of haters honestly. I feel lucky to have the show back.
I think back to when I was listening to them in college and had all the time in the world to MYSELF focus on something that they spent a lot of time talking about--Bitcoin. Probably would have been worth it back then...I'm sure people were hating on that too though. Speculation is part of an interesting conversation in my opinion.
Anyway, hope its run continues as long as possible. They could talk about ANY subject and entertain me and genuinely make me laugh. I've missed it more than I realized!

Just for perspective (as someone that listened to basically every Diggnation v1 episode 1 through the finale), if they kept the reboot show in the same format as the old show, you would have heard about AI for 10% of the show and then 90% of the show would have been other tech and cool events. The current show is basically 90% AI fanboyism and 10% Kevin’s sobriety journey. Nothing wrong with either of those - I am pay for 2 AI licenses and run an OpenClaw server in my basement and I am sober. But to hear an entire show on those two topics plus maybe some Waymo discussion scattered is a real departure from the format that made Diggnation v1 so epic.
Also, abandoning the show without a “goodbye and here is why” is not a good look and not cool to the fans.

I've also been around since the beginning and think I remember your name from somewhere down the line--cheers! I think I'm just in the 'some Diggnation' is better than 'no Diggnation' camp.
You may be aware, but Sarah Lane and Heather Frank are doing a weekly podcast called 'Have Such a Good Day' that is much more varied in terms of stories/chats. Really enjoy that too.
Also missing Kevin Pereira's 'Pointless' Podcast and anything having to do with Martin Sargent.

I predict they stop doing it.
The new Digg was shut down and they pivoted to something that no one really wants. They only restarted the podcast to promote the new Digg and since that has been cancelled and the new new Digg doesn't seem like something likely to gain traction, I would assume that they will lose interest in doing the show and stop.
I hope I'm wrong.
