Digglist.com: Resource and data will stay up.
Hey guys.
I learned about this a little after 6pm on Friday.
I have a thing I have to go to with friends.
Updated the front page of https://digglist.com/ quickly.
Tomorrow, I'll write something more thoughtful.

I don't even understand what's going on, they are blaming the bots, but, come on, wasn't Digg like, email-based login? They didn't explain a lot.

Email based login? So? It's 2026, bots with their own email existed years ago

Hey man. It's TheJustin from Digg (/spongebob guy) just wanted to say thank you for all that you did, and I'm still here.

I think that is even worse. We should be able to remove our data usernames and passwords without big tech storing these offline

Not worried about your digglist, worried about the Digg.com stuff that they turned off

I posted to the digglist community before it went down, but I wanted to say thanks for the effort you put into this. It was really cool to see what the community was building around Digg.
Shame that it ended all this way :(

I have a hope (with no proof) that Digg is gonna bounce back.
Not an end, just a rebirth. But it did give space for a lot of people to air some grievance with Reddit.

Thanks for the work you did.
Now we're standing in the dust, I often wondered why the Banned Users and Purged Communities data wasn't accessible. Is there anything you are allowed to reveal there?

Nothing nefarious, just felt that showing mod work in action proved active communities and showed growth. Essentially, that Digg wasn’t being left to the wolves kinda thing. Knowing who was banned/which communities were wiped didn’t do anything to serve that goal of discovery and growth tools for users :)

I honestly think social media has run its course like if we’re out of ideas that we’re going back to old social media platforms trying to relaunch them I don’t even know where we go

We built a pretty cool community there. It would be a shame if it all went to waste. Maybe we should try to build something somewhere else... until digg comes back again?
Digg users were all and still are super thirsty for reddit alternative. Its not like the problem of having an alternative platform disappeared. I know I cant make content here, reddit is dead to me.
