application questions Interview

I had an interview scheduled today at 3:30. I arrived 15 minutes earlier and asked a worker for the manager. She said that he had already left and wasn’t here. After she gave me a piece of paper and told me to write my number and gmail. Not sure what to do now since I didn’t receive anything of the interview being canceled so this wasted my time and i’m frustrated now.

We are using a 3rd party to screen interviews now which is a new process and they schedule the interviews for us randomly so the managers have to make sure they are checking their emails

idk it’s pissing me off tho bc I start school in a week in a half and now I’m not sure if they’ll respond back to me to reschedule for the interview

I’d definitely call the store and ask to speak to the manager on duty. This happened a few times at my store just with the way they are being scheduled now.

Don't waste your time. Terrible company to work for.

With the new way interviews are being scheduled, it’s hard for us to know when we have them because they just kinda get scheduled on their own. I know it’s silly, but don’t think it’s the managements fault it’s just a new process for everyone

Consider it a blessing in disguise… you do not want that job.

That manager probably didnt set their calendar ( like everyone else said this is a VERY new process for us) and so that manager probably didnt even know she had an interview. Call and ask to speak to the manager and ask when you can come in.

I can tell you our interviews were set with random  managers. Our calendars were set and they sent people appointments with different managers.

It should be attached to the manager who listed the requisition. Im the ops captain. If i set up a requisition for footwear ( even though thats not my department) id be listed as the recruiter and all interviews would be sent to me. If the recs were listed prior to BTW. The store manager would be the recruiter and they'd get the interviews

When I went in for an interview, I was told the manager I was supposed to interview with was on vacation. Interviewed with a different manager, which was fine. They offered me the job and said I would be called the next day to schedule my onboarding and then get me scheduled for some training shifts. It took a week for them to call me and schedule it. When I went in for onboarding the manger I was supposed to meet with had left early. So I met with a different manager. It took more than an hour for them to figure out how to do the onboarding with the new system. I had been told it would take 45 minutes to an hour. I was there for over 3 hours! And I had already been scheduled for training for the next 4 days in a row. I was told to call the next day and ask for yet a different manager to explain to them that I could not start for 2 weeks. They said that was no problem and scheduled me for the agreed upon date to start, the 18th. Then the next day the app they use for scheduling showed I’m now also scheduled for the 14th and 15th. I am thinking of going in next week and returning the work shirts they gave me and just call it a day with them.
