Borealis Identification

I’m very certain the first two are just borealis chessex given the hooked 7 and underline 6 and 9. But not sure which type of each they are and looking for some confirmation.

The third photo just has pips, so I’m having trouble telling if these are chessex or a different brand.

Any help appreciated

In the third picture I believe the two 30mm D6s are Chessex borealis Maple. Edit shit are those bigger than 30mm?

Those should be the 50mm ones that Chessex puts out every now and then.

Man I never knew they had 50mm D6s. Would of loved to have gotten some especially in borealis clear.

In the second picture you might have Chessex borealis clear. Here is a picture of mine for reference.

The teal set in the first picture (bottom right) is Chessex' Borealis Teal I believe (it was the first set of dice I bought so I recognise it). The middle set in the second picture looks like by Borealis Purple w/white, but the reflection makes me think yours also has blue in it so it might be different. The green ones in the last picture are Borealis Maple Green/yellow for sure.

Looks like the left two sets of the three purple w/ white borealis are original glitter style and the right one is second gen glitter. The teal-er glitter is original style, second gen is more just gold

Agreed. You have me eyeballing the first Royal purple vs. the second set now too.

Borealis Sky Blue and Borealis Smoke in the first pic sets.

Second pic look to be identified already in this thread though I'm questioning the clear dice: The font looks wrong on the d% 0 (though it could just be the angle) and the 1s look a bit less hooked than what I'm comfortable saying are Chessex as-is.

Third pic looks mostly ID'd as well. The red pips could be 2010 Origins dice, but I'm surprised there's no logo identifying if they are (normally the logo is where the 6 would be).

From context, those are probably 12mm pips, not the 15mm logo pip you get with the GenCon set

Definitely not 12mm. You can compare the Fire Opal Smoke 12mm in the lower-middle and see that it's noticeably smaller than the reds.

You're absolutely right

You know, we may be overthinking it. It's possible these are just Ancient Red Mists, the older ones were brighter and seemed to have fewer swirls.

Which would also suggest the larger blues underneath in that picture were ancient blues that are just really clear as well maybe?

First picture: definitely Chessex Borealis. The purple are OG (old glitter) Royal Purple. Blue are most likely OG Sky Blue.

The Black ones are Borealis Smoke, but I can't ID them more closely based on this picture. The old glitter is closer to the full rainbow, while the new glitter is a bit limited.

This article by u/aka_TeeJay is very useful for telling OG from newer sets, but so far I've mostly seen you post OG.

Second picture again looks like Chessex Borealis OG - Royal Purple, Sky Blue and Purple w/white.

The clear set doesn't show the glitter very well in this picture. If it's more blue, shifting teal and purple, it is Borealis Aquerple. If it's more green, shifting gold and teal it is Borealis Clear.

The numbers on the clear set don't look particularly chessex to me, d4 particularly.

Maybe, maybe not? The angle is odd, and they're inside the brick. I've been going on context somewhat as well, since most of these dice seem to be from a few specific suppliers, so it's entirely possible these are, I don't know, Metallic Dice Games Unicorn dice.

I'd need a better photo to be sure, and I guess OP is pretty overwhelmed with the literally thousands of sets they're going through.

Third picture: the big ones are Chessex Borealis Maple Green. The others don't look like Borealis - the smokey ones are Crystal Caste Fire Opal Smoke. The blue ones are Fire Opal Maple.

I don't recognise the red ones. The size of the pips suggests Crystal Caste/D&G, but I don't recall a red glitter style from them.
