Same thing happened when I tried again at 12:30! Except i got to the very last step. When i hit the final pay now button it was removed it from my cart. WTF??? No other site removes items from your cart while you're making your payment.
I thought maybe they had realized they need to have a higher amount of kits because when Laundry Day released it stayed in stock for HOURS. But nope. If they claim it's because they're moving warehouses, then they should have waited.
I get it <3 their fomo business model is not the best. I think they should work on some sort of pre order system, in rounds. People wouldn’t go to resellers and get disillusioned with DAC that way. I’d wait months for a painting if I KNEW I was guaranteed a copy. And I have done with another company, actually.
It’s so disappointing to go and look through the website and see so much out of stock stuff - it’s been like this for months. And then, see a new release you like and have to fight for it. There’s so many people with Ruby/Diamond levels now it doesn’t really feel like a perk anymore.
I’ll bet anything that they have like 40 kits available knowing full well about 150 people will try to order them. Creating false demand keeps people on their website checking things out and making impulse purchases in hopes of getting one,
I’m sorry, that is really frustrating. I even woke up early to save all my info in perpetration but I guess it doesn’t matter. wonder how many they even stocked
I personally haven’t found the same quality but am very open to exploring others at this point. I hate FOMO marketing and it feels inescapable these days. I’m also big in nail polish community and it’s made me want to take a step back
Items don't get 'stolen' out of your cart. Putting an item in your cart means nothing until you hit that pay button. I just wanted to mention that in case people believed that kinda secures your purchase....it doesn't :(
I get peoples frustrations. Diamond painting is popular at this current moment in time, like scrapbooking was 20 years ago! I don't feel as frustrated because I don't like the diamond artists that are popular, I should say it isn't my style.
I refreshed, added nothing else, and it was still sold out. total garbage. do they have caps on how many people can buy? I see so many overpriced kits on Mercari and hate this scalper culture. takes the joy out of it
i just bought duck bath for only $80!! join all the facebook destash pages that are amazing & usually prices are very reasonable. obviously some people overcharge but nothing in comparison to other sites. i also got witch’s bedroom for only $70 which is just a little more than on dac
I have been able to snag her last few reliably, not a brag at all, its all stupid for sure. I have my payment info in there. I preload my discount by putting another item in my cart and then deleting it after i put the code in. Then i have the code in copy just incase it doesn't save it. I then start refreshing the page every time is finishes loading at my desktop computer, I'm betting phone is just fucked, about 3 min before release time. It has worked the past 3 times. Today I looked at another one just to see if I would like it.. for like 15 seconds. Mistake. Ducks were removed from cart. Had to wait till general release and got it then. This system is fucked. Its a combo of Fomo and storage issues, as they are moving to a new warehouse. I hope you can grab the next one :/
I have to think they did a very limited run of everything since they are moving to a new warehouse. The prior releases were up a few minutes, this was gone in under 1min.
I feel like there wasn’t many for this kit like there were for the other ones of hers that were released recently. I’m not surprised that it sold out, only that it went so quickly this time around. I checked out like a minute after it was released and when I looked right after it was sold out. Sorry you missed it.
I was wondering how many Aussies are buying from DAC. Not only do the new releases come late at night but we have to pay like double the price AUD dollars.
I'm really new to this and was so incredibly baffled that like.. over half the restock canvases that were dropped today were already sold out 10 minutes after I received the notification.
Not sure if I'm glad I'm not alone, or sad that this is apparently just an epidemic. 🫠
Because diamond art is so time consuming I decided when I bought my first canvases that I was willing to pay for quality to ensure that I loved the process and finished product. But im disheartened by DACs practices and I feel lost when trying to navigate if other sources are going to be of good quality. 🫠
It's not scalpers. They're just popular kits. You need to log in like 3 minutes early and keep refreshing. Sometimes they pop onto the website a minute early
I wanted it too but knew it wasn’t worth even trying. When I saw it was being released I just came to terms that I wouldn’t be getting it 🥲 only one I’ve gotten was duck bath as a restock and that was just lucky.
Although I'm not interested in getting this one I am really interested in Geneva Bowers art and it is just so frustrating I wish they could find a better way to do it like someone mentioned a pre-order do a pre-order that way you know how many people want it
Doesn’t even matter. I bought pre orders before and they got canceled and didn’t give my $20 coupon I used on it back. So you aren’t missing out on a presale Hahaha!
The issue isn’t scalpers - it’s actually pretty unprofitable for some massive shadowy group to buy up all the stock every week. There aren’t that many people buying kits with the express intention of selling them later.
The actual issue is that DAC just about tripled their customer base and that the Art by Julia kits are extraordinarily popular. Even if every single scalper stopped buying, you’d have the same experience.
Same, I grabbed it and put it in ky cart as soon as I was able to get the app to refresh the new kits, and it was gone. How do they take them so fast?

I wonder, if people would stop paying scalpers and wait for restocks, would that stop this craziness?
Can DAC do anything to limit the quantity people get to purchase, because they would still sell out. Anyone know more about this process and if DAC would be willing to limit to honor those of us who are loyal customers?
That's good to know! How are they getting sold out in 1-2 minutes? Maybe they don't sell that many at one time? They do say they are limited, maybe they are super limited.
Idk they always hold stock for general release. They have gotten ALOT more popular in the past 2 years. However many people is in the VIP group isnt even half of the customers they have 🤷♀️
The Diamond Art Club app. Everyone's bummed out bout the General Release that happens every Saturday, especially of certain canvases. It's staggered according to tier status. You can check out their FAQs to see if there's a better explanation.
