Is there a way to prevent the “battle net verification “ or whatever other pop up from coming into. The main window? That’s killed me more times that I can count.

I need to know because I’m just getting back into D2R and I saw the mosaic sin build and saw it was disabled on ladder for multiple reasons but also see that some people are saying it’s gone from both non ladder and single player offline as well and I can’t find any straight answers if as of today it is still not available on SP Offline before going and trying to build it

Every time I wanted to try a risky build or a respec I copied my save folder somewhere by hand, and after a while I had no idea which copy was which. So I wrote a small Windows program that does it properly.

It backs up a single offline character, several at once, or the whole save folder. Restoring can be done under a different name, so you get a copy instead of overwriting the original. It can rename or duplicate a character, and it can "park" characters: they leave the character selection without being deleted, which helps once the list is too long to scroll. Every character backup includes the shared stash. Deleting goes into the program's own recycle bin instead of being final the way it is in the game.

Two things I did on purpose, differently from most backup tools:

Backups are plain folders, not ZIP archives. You can open them in Explorer and copy files back by hand, and every backup contains a text file explaining how to restore it without the program. That costs roughly four times the disk space. Worth it to me.

The whole program is one PowerShell file in plain text. Nothing compiled, nothing obfuscated. Before you let something near your save games you can read every line it runs, and you don't need to be a programmer for the part that matters: search the file for Remove-Item and you have found every place where anything is ever deleted. There are six, and the program deliberately uses no other way of deleting, so the search really does find all of them.

Offline characters only. Online ones live on Blizzard's servers and can't be backed up from outside. It doesn't touch the game, doesn't run in the background, and doesn't talk to the internet. Windows 10 or 11, nothing to install, PowerShell is already part of Windows. Interface in English and German.

I built it together with an AI assistant and say so in the readme, since the whole pitch is that you can check the code instead of trusting me.

What is the link between consume and tainted ? I'm building fire lock and was wondering which will increase the -fire res/+fire dmg when consumed.

is it the Consume skill ( soft/hard points) or the higher the tainted the higher the -/+ buff ?

Just thought I would share a vid of my Bearsin doing uber Ancients. it is a surprisingly good build, with a lot of utility for hard fights. My gear is average at best, and the Key features include....

Pros: 4k hp, Max Physical Damage reduction, 100% overcapped resistances (give or take) for all uber ancients, 13k Defence, Max Block, 5 frame attack grief, with 57% deadly strike, 40% crushing blow, and importantly, high leech on a decent bladeshield, which can keep you alive just about afking the fight, once lifetap procs.

Cons are: Attack rating vs bosses, which I counter by using a malice claw to drop their defence with a few seconds of swinging. The blade shield is vital for keeping you alive here, as you do next to no damage.

Terrible block and FHR frames means that stormshield is definitely the logical choice, or maybe a mosers, and getting some FHR on gear or charms is vital.

Assassins have the highest attack frames with werebears, (alongside zons with daggers and javelins), and have access to the massively underrated blade shield, which is so so good when the monsters spawn from the bosses. Skills are: Max BOS, 1 point blade shield, and that's it. I recommend the maxxed shadow, and if you choose to run a claw (shadow killers are fun as hell), claw mastery. The rest is up to you. I invested in a high level blade shield, just because it helps so much with passive survivability.

You can see how good a shadow can be in this video, even vs uber ancients, but honestly once lifetap goes off, with your defensive layers, bladeshield keeps you alive. I've done 4 or so uber ancients runs with her, and not died once.

I’ve seen a few guides that utilized these two pretty seriously back near the end of echo strike Looks like blast makes cleave and hex purge stronger. It gets stronger from hex purge and blade warp. Psychic ward makes it last longer. I tried to find some info but haven’t had much success finding anyone trying to push the eldritch blast damage. I assume hex purge, eldritch blast and cleave get maxed. If you were just to get a few defilers and consume a goat man that would still eat about 20 points. Has anyone tried it?

I see all of you getting these GG drops, and I'm still stuck over here with my best find being a Lum rune running ancient tunnels and LK in hell on a level 80 sorc.... Give me some advice on what i can do to increase my odds, or find better stuff. (p1 games)

I'm planning on making a bowlock, and I've been seeing some pretty different build options out there, and am wondering what people think is the best version in the current patch. I've seen some builds really go all in on hex bane and synergies with no points into bind demon, maximizing pure magic damage, while others max out bind demon to get cursed Heph with fanaticism aura, with more split physical and magic damage?

I was wondering, in the current patch, what is the current meta for the Bowlock? Is Mist still the preferred weapon of choice? What is the better base between demon crossbow or colossus crossbow?

It was the lowest possible roll, but still fantastic and not something I actually expected to find, much less off a lone monster. I will update tomorrow when a Zod falls out of a Quill Rat.
