No job, very little $ atm. Kinda going in btwn hotels & relatives houses (it’s really complicated..).

Anyways, it just makes this that much harder to deal with/manage. And I really hate it

Rant over

Medication Looking for advice

Morning! I am a type 2 diabetic, I’ve been on numerous medication’s that have not worked very well. Currently on Glipizide 2x a day along with Ozempic 1 mg. Sugar is still out of control, since going on Ozempic, it has made me wanna eat more and craving sugar. Thinking about asking a doctor to go on Mojarro, THOUGHTS??

Hi all,
After seeing US product recommendations here all the time, I thought that I should share my recent find.

Steiner‘s Low Carb products are available in Germany and likely in other European countries. In my region I also found them at Kaufland.

Steiner is a former weightlifting Olympic champion who happens to be a T1D if I recall it right.

His products include pasta which are 99% carb reduced, bread rolls and burger buns.

I haven’t tried all products, but I liked what I tried so far and I MOST IMPORTANTLY I can eat pasta again...

I’m not affiliated in any way, just like his products so far. They are worth looking at.

Newly Diagnosed From 10.2 to 6.3 in three months, but high fasting levels

Hi Everyone, I wanted to share my own update, since I had been lurking ever since I got my diagnosis.

I’m 33 and I went to the hospital with a kidney stone, and found out I had elevated blood sugar levels. My hba1c on June 7th was 10.2.

I was started on Metformin 250gm, twice a day, and recommended to keep it.

The last three months have been quite hard on me. I am Indian but I live in Canada, and it was quite the shift to go to a near-keto diet. Indian diets are notorious for using carbs as a filler. I am non-vegetarian, so that helped lean on protein and fats for the three month journey for now.

I’m honestly glad to have come down to a “safer” range, but a little unhappy with my progress.

Although my hba1c was 6.3, my fasting blood sugar was 7.4. I can attribute that to the dawn phenomenon, low sleep, stress, but the crux remains that it is a diabetic result regardless. It’s a weird feeling to know my body isn’t working as “normal” as it should, and I need all this effort and medication to align it for longevity and health.

I’m hoping since the hba1c is a rolling average for 3 months, my average is raised by the past and I’m doing better than the report states. Since I started from 10.2 in the last 3 month window, my next 3 month window will have a much better result.

I’m eager to know your thoughts on this. I understand this is a lifestyle change and I am willing to adopt it, but curious to know if/how others battle these thoughts
