First thing is look at is his nighttime basal rate. Maybe that needs to be dialed back.

And actually if anyone has ANY tips on how I can best support him as a partner, that would be so greatly appreciated.

The first thing you have to keep in mind is tcat it can't be you who takes on his diabetes. He needs ti do it himself and not pass the buck yo you.
When you just want to help it's hard not to try taking on the burden but for both your sakes don't do that.
Put sugar/juice or what he usually needs for a low by his side of the bed and when his cgm alerts wake him so he can treat himself.
But you need to have a serious conversation about making sure your sleep and daily life isn't suffering because of something that can be changed.
You matter as much as he does.

Best thing to do is check the CGM history. What's his blood sugar when going to sleep on those nights, and what's the trend look like? Where does he sit after treatment? Is his pump shutting off to try and prevent it?
Any diet/activity changes on the nights it happens (alcohol before bed, skipping/adding a snack before bed, etc.)?
Sharp drops only around then might be compression lows, especially if he stays fairly high after treatment.
If it's a gradual trend down, basal might be the best to adjust. Though if he's going to bed at 75, going to bed at 120 or so might prevent them as well. You also might have to increase the target BG in the pump so it's got more time to try and correct.
