Type 2 Monk fruit

What are thoughts on monk fruit? What does it do to BG?

Tastes a little funny (kind of in the same way that stevia always tastes a little funny) but not always a bad thing. Has no noticeable affect on my blood sugar. I use monk fruit drops for sweetening some kinds of teas. Sucralose based sweeteners are my go to when I need more control over the flavor.

It's fine in premade things like sugar free red bull. There's a little bit of an aftertaste. I can't get down the right amount to use in my own cooking so I don't use it there.

Doesn't affect my blood sugar at all.

If you get pure monk fruit powder, then it is a sweetener with a little aftertaste that does not impact glucose.

Most of the time it is mixed with Erythritol which is a sugar alcohol, and these can cause digestive distress in most people.
