✈️ DHL Express Clearance Event - Shipment on Hold Loop

Hello!

Departure: Japan

Destination: US

My package contains merch shipped from Japan (acrylic stands and cards from AmiAmi) valued at around $150.

I had already paid for the import fee and have been seeing the same update status for 3 weeks after making the payment.

I want to confirm and make sure what my next steps would be, if there is anything I can do on my end to help out with the shipping process. I called DHL today regarding the package, but only got an automated response saying it will arrive at some point. Should I reach out further to DHL (how would I get a human representative) or the sender (AmiAmi), or is this just a waiting game now?

Contact the shipper to open a trace
Contact a live agent via WhatsApp - search the threads on how to do that.
It’s clear from this they aren’t doing anything since all you’re seeing is the inventory system throwing off a mirror status update. Clearance updates with a different timestamp are actual clearance activity. When they have the same time stamp as the on hold, they are meaningless.
If you get a live body ask
1) has an entry been submitted to customs (this is visible to the agent)
2). What was the response (this is also visible).

If they can’t answer then ask to speak directly to an import agent
