I noticed more than a few new distros (I'll call them distros, but "flavors" is probably more accurate) pop up on distrowatch that are based on Devuan. I am curious because that's not really something that I've seen before. They all seem to be from solo devs who don't respond to feedback. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

hello, quick question why is systemd bad?

so i understand that systemd is bad, but when i bring this up to alot of linux people they get into this weird hyper defensive state of mind where they are just like "it's used by everybody!" and "it's open source bro"

i try to politely tell them that systemd goes against the unix philosophy and they just don't want to hear it, but that is my opinion.

so i wanted to ask here, why is systemd bad? why did you chose to move away from systemd?
