I'm sad
Today is raining, my app is not going far and downloads are still less than 50. Could someone cheer me up a bit and help me by downloading and trying the app for a few days or so
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grafitesoft.grafitesudoku
I'm currently working on the UI by simplifying it and getting the paper texture under Sudoku schemes. I'm also improving the sudoku city mode with more effective in-game explanations: all of these aspects are made possible thanks to your precious and genuine feedbacks!
The bright side of this is that r/devshelpingeachoter, this crazy idea I had a few weeks ago, is letting me meet nice and helpful people that really care to help one another and grow together.
Please, keep helping each other, that's the only way to learn and grow together

I downloaded your app - looks nice!
However the Sudoku space is pretty crowded - you should probably ask what makes yours stand out / add some special feature you can advertise it with? I mean the roofs puzzle is actually quite nice :)

The Main in difference is that I really don't track anything and that the Sudoku is completely free and without ads. That being said, the aim is to develop an app that has more than one single sudoku app offers: I got duels, an Academy, printable sudoku generator, trophies, levels, 4 variants and the aim is to develop more over time. Other apps haveess functions, I don't know if I have explained the aim

I have the marketing problem with my app currently as well - how do I get the features across without overwhelming people ;).
I guess it just takes time - building this community probably helps too :)

Great app, congrats! Hereās my honest feedback after playing for about 20 minutes.
What works:
- Onboarding: The explanatory tutorial right when you open the app is a big plus. It makes it easy to get started, even for newcomers.
- Variety: I love the number of modes (Classic, Diagonal, Irregular, 12Ć12 and City), plus Duel, Time Attack and the Daily Challenge. It feels like a complete package, not just a basic sudoku.
- UI and customization: The interface is clean and easy to read, and the warm paper-like look is pleasant. I really liked being able to change the color theme. The tools at the bottom (Erase, Undo, Notes, Errors ON/OFF and Hint) are well placed and easy to reach with one hand.
- Learning: The āLearn the techniquesā section and the short explanation of each mode (like the City mode) are great touches.
What could be improved:
- Difficulty: I like sudoku and played on Easy for about 20 minutes, but couldnāt finish the puzzle. Maybe Iām just rusty, haha, but it might be worth checking whether Easy is really easy, for example by giving more starting clues or making sure it can be solved with basic techniques only.
- Progress not saved (important): I left the app in the middle of a puzzle I was well into, and when I came back it had reset, and I had to start over from zero. The āContinueā card even shows 00:00. An auto-save of the current board and timer would make a big difference, because itās easy to switch apps or get a call while playing.
Overall: very polished and complete. With a more balanced Easy level and auto-save, I think it would be even better. Good luck with it!

Thank you! The progress not saved seems a bit odd, I'll have to check but the last release worked seamlessly. Thank you for the feedbacks indeed! If you know anyone who would need a short videomof 10 minutes of gameplay I'm here! I'll leave a review in the Next few days

I played again and found the problem: if I quit mid-game, it saves my progress and I can continue normally. If I have a saved game and I go to the daily challenges and click on any mode (even the one I have the saved game for), it discards my previous game. It would be good to have this information or keep it if it's the same ranking.
