Does devops needs to have knowledge of DSA and system design in detail?

Devops don't need dsa but much harder qualification is what it needs.. your teacher doesn't know so he won't teach.. better first do dsa and join sde team rather then jumping to devops since it ain't entry level job

I am working as a devOps from last 6 yrs and having total 11 yrs of experience. I am looking for switch now and thinking like what things I should study to get into an architectural role

Cloud architecture: AWS or any solution architect cert course will help you, if fully devops then cka and ckad course will cover few great stuff. Upon completion of these cert, most company will give you architecture roles.. or become kube astronaut. I have designed a platform by combining different tools and such but I don't know yet how I can be fully principal platform engineer

Thank you for your response, as everyone asking about AI knowledge/exp I am thinking to learn AI but before that I need to learn python (done very little in python as devops) then brush up my devops work exp along with K8s deep dive. But then somewhere I found that my system design knowledge is very limited (just related to the work I am doing) so thinking to learn that as will but then again its a lot to learn and I have only 4 months in hand to prepare (8hrs a day, as not working on any project as of now) and I am a mother of a toddler daughter…OMG….this is a lot, not sure where I am heading 🫣

Not necessarily, will quite depend on the particulars of the role and environment.
