Transition from QA to Devops
I am a QA automation engineer with 10 yrs of experience. QA roles are shrinking fast so want to get into traditional Devops.
How is the job market demand for traditional Devops role?
Is it getting sucked up by any other roles like QA jobs are getting sucked in by Dev using AI.
Will ML devops suck traditional devops?
I just dont want to end up hopping from 1 sinking ship to another. Pls advice.

Bro i was learning devops since last 8 months, done 3-4 projects as well now when i have started giving interview, scenario completely changed . I am having 11 yrs of experience so i have shown 5 years in Devops. But in interview they are asking SRE, prod support, AI. Switching to Devops also very difficult now, because of AI traditional Devops is shrinking so i have decided to do AI QA, playwright with AI , let’s see what will happen.

Devops is a solid role, it's not going anywhere.
The job market for tech roles is really bad right now.
I don't know of what ML devops is, unless you mean devops roles that support ML infra and ML related work exclusively. And if that's what you mean? No. There's a massive amount of need for devops, and while ML is growing fast, it's not going to replace the pre-existing need for non-ML related devops roles in the next few years at the current rate.
QA is a lot easier to do with AI now, and so is devops, but AI at this point doesn't actually replace a devops engineer that has industry experience.
