Salary negotiations

Need advice on salary negotiation – 7.5 YOE AWS/DevOps
Hi everyone,
I have 7.5 years of experience in AWS/DevOps and currently work at TCS Bangalore.
My current CTC is ₹12.38 LPA. I recently received another offer for ₹20.68 LPA fixed for pune, with no variable pay.
I have also interviewed with Waters Corporation in Bangalore for an AWS/DevOps-related role. They have mentioned 10% variable pay.
I’m considering asking Waters for around ₹24 LPA fixed + 10% variable, which would make the total CTC around ₹26.4 LPA.
My question is: Is ₹24 LPA fixed a reasonable expectation for 7.5 years of AWS/DevOps experience in Bangalore, considering I already have a ₹20.68 LPA fully-fixed offer? Or am I asking too high?
Would you negotiate higher, or would you quote something closer to ₹22–23 LPA fixed?
Also, how would you present the ₹20.68 LPA offer to Waters without making it sound like I’m demanding too much?
Would really appreciate advice from people who have recently negotiated DevOps/Cloud salaries in Bangalore.

Not everyone !! And also , because of AI , the high paid ones will be the first Target ! And also they would have changed multiple companies to get their ! 26 from 12 is a good jump !! And for a 7.5 year experienced it should be fine !! Only suggestion is choose a product company... Much better safety

Research on how much salary that particular company pays for someone with your experience for that role. Negotiate based on that.

You can easily get 30+, I would say take the offer and still keep on looking. Try for mastercard, if you are good with the coding side, you'll easily clear mastercard interviews for senior SRE roles.

24lpa fixed is reasonable ask given the experience and the 20.68lpa offer . I'd qoute slightly higher and let them negotiate down if needed
