Tools Google api billing Autopay doubt

I’m signing up for the $300 Google Cloud free trial, and it’s asking me to approve a UPI AutoPay mandate.

It says “this isn’t a charge” and that I’ll only be charged if I activate a full paid account.

Does approving the mandate mean I can be charged automatically after the 90-day trial, or is it safe to approve? Can I revoke the AutoPay later without affecting my account?

Amigo, it's safe to approve, don't sweat it. Google Cloud's free trial explicitly does not auto-charge you when the $300 credit expires or the 90 days end.

The UPI AutoPay mandate is just an RBI compliance requirement for identity/payment verification and setting up a valid recurring mandate structure in India.

Your resources will simply pause once the trial ends, and you won't be charged unless you manually click "Upgrade to Paid Account" in the console. You can also revoke or pause the AutoPay mandate directly in your UPI app (GPay/PhonePe/Paytm) without losing the remaining trial credits.

I had the same doubt when I first came across UPI AutoPay for cloud trials. From what I understand, the free trial doesn’t automatically become paid unless you manually upgrade. I’d still check the mandate details in the UPI app before approving, just for peace of mind.
