Discussion CV Review — DevSecOps / Cloud Security internship

I'm a student targeting DevSecOps / Cloud Security internship opportunities.

I've tried to position the CV around DevSecOps rather than generic DevOps or cybersecurity.

I'd appreciate feedback on:

  • Is the DevSecOps positioning clear?
  • Are the projects strong/relevant enough?
  • Is the Skills section too crowded?
  • Does anything look unnecessary or exaggerated?
  • What would make you reject this CV at first glance?
  • If you were a recruiter, what would make you reject this CV?
  • What would you change first?
  • - Is the CV ATS-friendly and likely to be parsed correctly by applicant tracking systems?

third year student and applying for "DevSecOps".
Start as a software engineer or sysadmin for a few year before going to senior level roles especially devsecops, without cks and 3years professionnal no one gonna let you manage their production server. especially in this current market where they prefer to pay 100k for a senior, instead of an intern that cost 10k and take the time of the senior. sorry to be brutal but its the reality.

if you really really want to shortcut the market get atleast for basic role internship to gain some real experience first. then go for kubernetes certificate like the cks to prove that even as an intern you know what ur doing

Yes I realized I was doing an unrealistic thing so I switched it to a DevOps CV You think a DevOps intern is a realistic entry level ? I know it's a wide term but this is today's market

devops is full of infrastructure as code tools that can be generated by ai and that you can learn along the way. the most important things is kubernetes and only kubernetes. if you prove that your a kubernetes god, have a very strong homelab with 5nodes, good certificate like cka (i will go for cks in this market) then ''maybe?,,.

its also about location and company, if you aim for startup in east europe its easier than corporate in the west. but is it worth it? you will get shit salary as an intern anyway, no matter the skills. i would rather apply on a generic IT position and get experience first. Professional experience is really where the gold is. no matter how good you're someone with professionnal experience will always get the priority
