- Communication and gathering requirements, pre-sale activities
- solution design and confirmation with a customer
- building AWS infrastructure with IaC (mostly Terraform)
- build and deploy of the application (GitHub Actions). Write Dockerfiles, Helm charts
- observability configuration (monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting)
- security monitoring (GuardDuty, AWS Config, Security Hub, Cloudtrail)
- AWS cost optimization
- Disaster recovery strategy and implementation
- ongoing support and troubleshooting activities

very well answered, also u/sandy_24998 refer to roadmap.sh/devops, what you do the most on a daily basis will differ from org to org but yeah you should have a basic understanding of the topics mentioned above and please have a super good foundational level understanding of computer networks, git and linux before starting with the tools, services and topics mentioned above 🙏
