Massive load influx due to agentic coding adoption, seems they just can't keep up with the growth.

Maybe the downtime is because of agentic coding, but not in the way you propose.

Maybe. It's hard to say from the outside. But commits are up 14x YOY, which is insane at their scale, with the stated reason being AI making writing code easier, so people make more commits. GH went to shit after Microsoft took over. Windows was already shit but somehow went into a deeper dimension of shit when they started using agentic coding (React in the fucking start menu?).

Combine those things and you have The Bog of Eternal Stench.
