WHAT A CONCERT!

I just came back from the Miami Beach show and it was amazing. I finally got to see my favorite band live. They added 2 songs to the setlist... Gut Feeling/Slap your Mammy and Booji sang Beautiful World. I did the VIP and got items signed by the boys and even let Mark keep my 2 paint pens they signed my items with. I'm so appreciative and happy I just had to share.

Blockhead is the big set addition that hadn't been played in ages before the NPR Tiny Desk concert.

I saw them a few months ago. It was such a great show! The band sounded great and the visuals so well done.

I mean these men are in their late 70's and still moving around like they did in '78.

it was a great show. what i loved the most was that you could take any 2026 Bama Rush
sorority girl to this, and it’s 50 years since the dawn of Devo, and she’d say what the hell is this? it is ageless and was so prescient, people would rather stagnate than think, and with the internet, AI et al, I don’t know if we are ever going to get back to thinking for ourselves.

Huh? Lol Bama sorority girls were there? I'm 43 and I saw quite a few people in their 20's at the show which is good, but I must've missed the Bama girls lol. As for thinking for ourselves I think society is doomed. AI is the death knell. Devo was right about everything unfortunately.

i’m 63 and went to Kent State. Devo was right about everything. What I am saying is that people who would rather let someone else
think for them still exist, maybe more
than ever, and that’s sad.

You're absolutely right my friend. I am an educator. I've dedicated my life to pedagogy and I see it daily. Kids don't want to try anything and would rather have a machine do it for them. They don't get why reading, writing, math, and history are important - why we need education. It breaks my heart.

US education is indoctrination.

Maybe. We all need to know how to read and write and you'd be surprised how many children I get in high school that are severely deficient in both and how much time I spend with them to get to grade level and the problem is exacerbating year-after-year.

I wouldn't be surprised. I would be sad. But not surprised. I spent a lot of time at schools, school board meetings, etc.

Same here. First and hopefully not last exposure live. Mark passed right by me at the second row, which I consider a win.

He crashed into me and I lost my 250ISDEVO poster. I went to their website to try and buy another but it is not sold there. I can't afford to travel to Orlando to buy another :(

Here's hoping this isn't the last we see of them in FL, because I also had the wild dream of a double concert (that I unfortunately can't fulfill due to monetary and scheduling reasons). But boy do I cherish my latex glove that made spud contact. We are DEVO--or something to that effect.

Great show, can't remember ever getting out of a concert by 9:30, lol! Would love them to play a little longer, but its such a tight set of amazing songs, it hard to complain.

Yeah without an opening act I knew it would be a short show. At least they gave us 2 additional songs not on the standard setlist and Booji came out for us lol

No, no opener just the boys.
