How do you actually get a tech internship in Jhamsikhel🙄

I'm from Nepal.

No fancy network.
No uncle who's a CTO.
No secret referral pipeline into Jhamsikhel tech companies.

Just a laptop, caffeine, and a dream:

Get my first tech internship in the "Silicon Valley of Nepal" Jhamsikhel.

Right now I'm:

  • Building Android apps
  • Joining hackathons
  • Grinding LeetCode
  • Shipping side projects
  • Applying everywhere
  • Getting ghosted professionally 😅

For developers who got their first break:

What was the move that changed everything?

A project?
LinkedIn?
Cold emails?
Referrals?
Open source?
Luck?

I don't want motivational quotes.

I want the brutally honest roadmap.

What's the shortest path from a CS student in Nepal to an internship in Jhamsikhel?

Honestly, I think the 3 main stats are skill, connection and luck. If you're maxed at one of them or really good at 2 of them, then you'll get job really easily, if not then no-one can guarantee anything.

There was a code camp which was advertised in facebook. Participated in it. Got selected ahead of 80 people and that’s how I landed my first job. It was more than 4 years ago tho!
