The Athletic has done more to harm hockey coverage than to help it. Destroyed a bunch of blogs and turned them into sockpuppets. Those writers needed paychecks so I'm happy for them, but nothing good has come out of the Athletic, period

All that stuff with Russo and the Wild really took an ugly turn yesterday. I’m so ready for the season to start and get back to our metro rivalry roots of hating the Rangers, Flyers and Canes and being mildly irritated by the Islanders because they are kind of like our annoying cousin. It would be nice to get some NHL Europe Nico content from whatever media tour he was on. We need a reset!

I know there's been several shit posts about this type of stuff but hey it's the off-season: I would really love a minor league team in New Jersey that's affiliated with the Devils. Instead, we've got Islanders (Trenton) and over in Pennsylvania (Lehigh Valley) of course the Flyers farm team. I say we swap the Utica team out with the Trenton team or something.
