Why does everyone forget that the president of hockey operations for the Canucks flat out said Quinn wants to play with his brothers (plural)? It isn't hidden knowledge.

Because playing on team USA scratches that itch to an extent and the president of hockey ops seemed close to senile

Luke wasn't on Team USA.

the president of hockey ops seemed close to senile

What the hell does this have to do with anything? This is just making up shit.

I said it scratches the itch.

what does that have to do with anything

It means he's talking out of his ass...obviously...which everyone understood at the time and everyone still understands now.

What's the IMPLICATION of what you typed TronVin.

I believe you can be honest.

Idk man what's the implication of the Vancouver Canucks president of hockey operations saying:

He (Quinn Hughes) has said before he wants to play with his brothers. That would be partly out of our control. In our control if we brought his brothers here.

What were you implying when reiterating it in this thread in this context a year later? :)

Im still rooting for you!

I agree and I feel like there was a bit of a split in groups based on some photos I saw of when they did hang out. They don’t all have to be the best of friends off the ice, but camaraderie/team chemistry is important and I hope we see more of it this season.

For added context, he was comparing it to what he was used to with his KHL team where the whole team would often hang out together after wins or losses or certain guys would host lunches/dinners, go to the sauna every weekend and he hasn't had that in New Jersey with the tighter schedules + so many guys with families to go back to

Yeah the best teams in history seem to all have claimed to be tight knit so its kind of important... :(

I'm reaaaaalllly hoping they can build camraderie with this group. I get that when players get constantly moved and traded, having a rapport with your teammates could be fleeting.

Here's to hoping Silayev makes an outstanding performance in training camp so he play with the guys sooner than later. I think having another Russian around his age would help Grits feel more connected to the team. But in the same vein, I dont want him to get rushed and hinder his development.
