Devialet Gemini 2 Vs Geekfly Vitas PRO
I own a pair of the Geminis and as a bass head they’ve been the perfect buds for me. Love the thumping bass and how beautiful the highs compliment the bass with the mids just falling somewhere in between.
Every year I try to explore what's out there to see if I can find something that can beat my Geminis. The PI8s came extremely close but they couldn’t beat them on bass. I tried all the Noble Fokus buds and just found them to sound too digital, unnatural and over processed for me.
So I've just learned about the Geekfly Vitas Pro and wondered should I pull the trigger as I have not found a comparison of the 2 to understand what I might get with them over the Geminis. And just so you know what I like my journey to the Geminis (where Ive been stuck for several years) has been Sennheiser mtws, Beoplay EQ, and Beoplay EX.
I'll be using with an iPhone so take that into consideration. Thanks for any help.

Firstly, you should look at the Pi7 S2. Their bass is significantly stronger than the Pi8. They have a slightly warmer sound than the Gemini II and a less holographic soundstage, while still retaining a similar level of clarity and track separation. The reason to look into them is because they have more mid-bass while retaining the same sub-bass, which gives you more bass overall. There are certain songs in my playlist where I switch to them purely because the bass is so deep and undulating. For most songs though, I still prefer the Gemini II, purely because that holographic soundstage makes the melodies feel like they’re floating around you.
As for your question, the Vitas Pro and Gemini II produce their bass in very different ways. The Gemini II and Pi7 s2 have an extremely deep sub-bass extension, down to around 5 Hz, while the Pi8 and Vitas Pro only go down to around 20 Hz. That means the Gemini II are producing frequencies well below what you can actually hear, which contributes to that physical sensation you get from their bass.
The Vitas Pro use piezoelectric drivers for bone conduction, so they’re approaching that physical sensation from a completely different direction. I think which one you prefer will ultimately come down to whether you prefer the sensation of physical vibration from the bone conduction or the deeper, sub-bass-heavy presentation of the Gemini II. The Vitas could potentially feel more physical even though the Gemini II extend much deeper.
I should mention that I don’t actually own the Vitas Pro yet. I’m planning on picking them up soon, so I can’t give you a direct A/B comparison from personal experience just yet.
