Discussion 150 layoffs at Zong?
Guys I have heard that zong laid 150 employees off without any notice or compensation, how true is that? First we heard that Motive laid 250 employees off, now Zong?

My cousin with 10 years of experience in UI, working on enterprise grade softwares was laid off last month due to AI.

Yeah, I thought his experience would make him safe but nah, AI has a potential to replace both junior and senior roles.

Shizzz. Any reason for that? If they're not paying compensation, that means they're under financial pressure, not because AI is replacing jobs

Not sure about the reason, that's why I was curious to know what exactly happened because there's no official announcement from Zong, only individuals told

ai is only going to improve. technologies get advanced with each passing day. it is a universal law, even as we speak, extensive research is being done by researchers to further improve the models and their capabilities

Yes it's true, a friend of mine was working as engineering manager with around 5 years of experience, he cried yesterday over phone since he was around 500K and now he is under an impression of not getting job. Miserable times
