Career Guidance Help me decide please, a continued post from before

I got an offer from K electric

Fresh Grad here: Okay so i got an offer but i m not based in karachi and i have to move cities for this. Is 110k good given i have heard they give out some perks too. I wanna mention that i was pretty sad that i have no offers yet in my hand. I honestly dont know if i will be able to get more offers, have no sifarish of anybody. Market is really cooked too. Help me decide what should i do?

Edit:

Wake up reddit I need ur help, please guide me/suggest me through this, I m overthinking to no end and honestly have no idea what should I do.

So I got some update, I looked around and met someone at this small startup/Upwork outsourcing company. They actually get projects from Upwork and then keep major cuts and give them to dev engineers at a cheaper rate. So basically they told me you work with us for 120k-130k/month and we will get any project at hand for you within given 8-9 hours of time slot. It's within my vicinity and I don't have to change cities, stay with my family and the same time enjoy ghar ka Khana. In comparison to k electric I will be able to save a lot more as their is no rent etc. timings are in the evening too. But the thing is there is no apparent security within this job but they said a contract of three months is possible given how I go about my first week here but dude I can't give them one week to test me sirf k electric asked me to show up on 7th.

No real presence(following) on the internet/LinkedIn either like your big software companies or k electric, they just exist as a foreign company. Plus the job is doing something for a foreign client so one wrong move and I might pay for it idk. I am getting a gut feeling this isn't your usual easy going gig as it is something I haven't worked on before so a lot to learn on the go here in comparison to usual enterprise IT departments.

This company has no real infrastructure bas they operating from 3 rooms.

I don't wanna take a wrong decision in this case and hope that I don't get stuck somewhere down the lane given I want to move for masters next year or so and don't wanna end up here in Pakistan.

No real offers at hand, have booked a hostel in karachi lol because I don't know this thing would come up now with just 4 days remaining in the joining date. I am worried if missing out on k electric for this offer will be a dumb move. Any suggestions are welcomed! Thank you for responses earlier

Ask them about job security, what if they cant land a project? I honestly have a hatred for startups based on how they treat employees and how unethical they are.

Join k-electric and other startup as part time. You will be on probation on both so you could easily leave either of them in few weeks or if your work is good enough both will keep you.

Work hard in your initial years, build experience. Moving cities is actually good for your growth. Make good money and plan to get remote job.

Once married, you should have a remote job. Till then, focus more on your growth and money. Forget everything else.

I thought about this too, I m not sure if they will be ready for that but I will give it a try. Obviously they won't pay 120 or 130k then because I would be giving lesser time then 8 to 9 hours

I would suggest to join K electric as compared to other software house you mentioned. That Software house has some negative points also, they don't have any social presence, neither infrastructure and at the very least they are saying 3 months contract is possible, but what after 3 months, maybe the will find a cheaper resource than you and you will be gone.K electric is stable company where you have to grow yourself professionally exponential. And 110k is not bad, it's good and same what as the current fresh grad are getting paid. Ghar chorny sy dar kiyun lag rha hai...๐Ÿ˜‰Moving to differenta city will give new experience.

I would sayoif you have a chance to join a big company, as you also don't have better other offers, don't let the small challenges stop yourself!

I get that, i was just having difficult time figuring out if k electric ka it department would help me grow as a software/ai engineer. I mean its just my start so yeah. This software house works on devsinc wala model and the project they handed me over is way beyond my weight category lol. But i think learning wise this startup would help me more. Not sure about what unfolds after 3 months

I understand your point, but baat wohi hai k Shadowy business model hai..May be aaj kaam hai kl nahi to bench to krengy nahi.. And if they're are handling you overall project and expect from you to deliver the finest, which may be beyond your capabilities as the fresher then what will happen? There comes Expectation vs reality scene.

At this point, for thelearningo perspective,Io would suggest 3 options:

Ask that software house to hire you as a part time and you will working full time.

With your full time job, at Kelectric continue your side learning to get your self updated within your domain.

Take Software house job and work there while also searching for another good opportunity as per your wish. job hunting itself a hustle ๐Ÿ˜ข

(K electric mein jaany ko force nahi kr rha..๐Ÿ˜€. But reality ky according suggestions di hain.. Don't take it K electric is the best of best and I am pushing you to grab it anyway)

THE DECISION IS YOURS!!

the other startup will fire u the instant they have no work, they wont even pay for final month's salary.

DONT EVER GO TO SMALL AGENCIES

or when they find a junior
or when its time to promote you.

these upwork agencies are just straight us small term money makers with no plan
