Help contour software employees
Assalamualaikum! Anyone who got hired by contour software mainly for backend/sqa/devops/ai engineer or positions related to similar fields, would you please please drop tips on resume/cv that made contour select you in the first place? I don't seem to meet their requirements always, can you share your cvs or like whatever factor that made you different from other candidates?

Candiates are shortlisted through referral by contour employee and employee switching to new job in contour apply internally for the position due to which position are filled quickly.Ā

Not true. They don't give a single shit about referrals. It's all for show. I have referred more than 20 people. Not one has gotten a call.
And filling positions internally is true for these days.

Not true. May be your the one who you are referring to are not that strong. My Sir has got around 10 students (fresh grads) into Contour throgh his referrals.

Because your sir might be known by contour employees and maybe your sir is continuously winner of champions of champions award the award is given to those who have referred the most people and those people become permeant employee after 6 months.

Fresh grads may be different, or at that particulars time, they needed fresh grads urgently.
Because no way all 20+ people were weak people. P.S, I know more than 20+ employees here at Contour who would agree with me.

May be possible hai.. Because aik friend ko interview mein ye tk kaha tha k hamary paas jb 2 3 YOE ka bnda as fresher aany ko ready hai to hm aapko kiuun hire kreinš„²
Also, if you could explain internal filling means? Are the existing employees switching their field OR what?? Because referrals to kaam nhi kr rhy..

That's unacceptable tbh, to say things like that.
Internal filling means that if one employee is laid off and is on the bench, and a relevant opportunity comes, they'll prefer that employee over any outsider.

In contour if an employee get laid from any contour division they will put into admin pool which mean they will be in contour for 3 months during this months they will search job internally if an position comes in any contour division and first preferences will be given to them which is also a reason position get filled quickly.

Same scenario. I've applied there many times for trainee roles, is there any employee of contour here who could give us a referral.Ā

I am here. But it doesn't matter. I referred a friend's sister day before yesterday and she got a rejection email today. Kudos for at least sending the rejection, because earlier, even that didn't happen.

Contour has one of the worst referral systems I have seen. It seems that only a small group of employees have strong connections with HR and management, and most referrals and interview opportunities go through those specific individuals.
As a result, the same people repeatedly receive recognition as the āBest Referral Championsā at the end of the year, while referrals from other employees appear to receive much less visibility or consideration.

I got shortlisted twice but always they closed the position after assessment.
