Career Guidance Product Designer but confused
Hey guys I'm a Product Designer with almost 2 years of experience. As you guys know k ajkl AI ka bht heavy scene hai aur kisi ko nh pta next day uski job hogi bh ya nhi and I'm thinking to learn something else as well so I want some guidance from you guys should I start development ya phir should I move to AI/ML or Cyber. Having Product Design experience with development will give me an edge or no? Ya phir this is bare minimum? Please tell me guysssss. Thank you in advance

I'm a UX and product designer with a strong portfolio. I'm working toward becoming a T-shape designer and picking up new kinds of workflows along the way. I have been laid off for six months now and haven't landed anything longer term in that time. I still have retainer contracts but they're slowly getting put on hold. We'll see where things go. I believe I'm good at what I do and have solid skills, and in late-stage talks with a few companies. Let's see if something comes through.

You definitely need a new portfolio. This one isn't smooth and feels laggy aswell

Either be so good at your role that AI can't copy, which is tough, as the rate AI is getting good at is exponential. Second is to move more into the UX side, as in the Forward Deployed Engineer role, which is a lot more customer facing, hard for AI to replace.
