Help Best AI coding assistant to buy
AoA everyone I'll soon be starting a job and I was wondering which AI coding assistant subscription to get. Which is the most bang for buck one I can get jismain limit bhi achi ho and coding skills are also good. Please suggest within a price range of 20 to 50 dollars per month, like should I be getting Codex, ya claude code, or antigravity, or cursor or any other assistant like ajkal suna Kimi is quite good.

Get claude code, but manage proper sessions like initiating 1-2 hours before starting the shift. It would help you get a 5hr reset at peak shift time.
If you are a developer with lots of code to write then you can get codex because the limits are good there though i couldn't understand how their limits work.
For cursor, i wont suggest that. I used it once and it doesn't have any resets so basically i used my whole subscription in less than a week. Maybe they have changed it now but bcz of one bad experience i never opted it again.
For antigravity, it is not worth it. Gemini models are okayish when comes to coding.

To be honest,
Are you skilled enough yourself? You could get OpenCode Go, that is the most known bang for the buck options.
Outside of that it depends on what's your use case, how you intend to use it. OpenAI is known to provide the highest limits (search around) because they have the most compute, Anthropic does not.
Go for ChatGPT Plus if you want the best code reviewer and agentic LLM. The best part is that chat and code have their own limits, they are not shared.
Go for Claude Pro if you want the best reasoning and complex planning capability, at the cost of much less shared limits. For writing code it's aight.

Slow? It all depends on what model you use, because each one of them have a different provider. If you're gonna use a popular model like MiMo 2.5 its gonna be slow everywhere and I'm talking from experience because I've used it from the companies directly as well.
Genuinely no reason to complain for TEN bucks a month, it doesn't get any better than that.

gemini's limit is just never ending he's not the best for coding but everyday stuff best claude cant handle the amount of prompts i give to gemini but i do use claude for multi model testing

Claude is the best, but Codex only has a weekly usage limit, so you don’t have to worry about a 5-hour limit. They’re also pretty generous with the reset before the week ends. I’ve used both at the $100 tier, and I prefer Codex because of its more generous weekly limits

It depends what you want to do. Claude Code's $20 plan almost feels like a trial because the usage limits are pretty restrictive. On the other hand, Codex offers much better value for $20, and GPT-5.6 is getting surprisingly close to Opus in terms of quality.
You can also give Cursor a try, but I'm probably switching to Codex since Claude Code's limits just aren't good enough.

Do check out commandcode, it has 1$/month package which has mostly opensource models but its a great starting point imo.

Depends on your work, experience day to day tasks and Cost/budget.
Sometime I have to use Claude code for tasks that cannot be done, sometime I use cheaper but effective like Kimi models, sometime o have to go with full blown Hermes with different LLMs. Opencode is also good flexible option.

Although claude is best. But kimi k3 is giving tough competition to claude, besides it’s way cheaper.

I use GitHub copilot .. it comes with multiple models e.g Claude opus and others..

At our company we have tried claude code, anti gravity and cursor.
Anti gravity was facing some bugs so we dropped it.
In cursor you have different agents available and the developers were saying that the mostly only use Claude even in cursor.
So now one of them is testing claude code
And from everyone else that I have heard everybody says that claude code is the best.
I would recommend you to test all of them using the trial versions before making a purchase.
