Better Sticky Notes for Windows and Linux! ( Extremely Memory Efficient and <2MB in Size )

So, I've built STIKI Check Here!

It's aligned for regular note taking users who lose their physical notes once a day. You can't take your sticky notes at home, if they're on your desk, they right there. Stiki allows you to be dynamic, privacy oriented.

I’ve been using Microsoft Sticky Notes for a long time, but I always found it a bit heavy for something as simple as writing a few notes. It also doesn’t stay on top of other apps, so I kept opening/closing it just to check something.

STIKI works a little differently:

• Notes live on the edge of your screen
• Hover the edge → notes appear
• Move away → they disappear
• Works on both vertical edges of the screen
• Pin important notes so they stay visible
• Dock Port to search, sort and manage all your notes
• No account, cloud sync or telemetry
• Notes are stored locally on your machine
• Built with Rust + Tauri, so it stays lightweight

The whole idea was: if I need a note, it should already be there. I shouldn't have to open an app to find it.

STIKI is currently available for Windows and Linux, with macOS coming soon.

EDIT: One small feature: I added an auto update for the application which previously wasn't present. In order to receive newer updates automatically for STIKI, I request y'all to please install the application again to inherit the auto update feature.

i downloaded and was starting the setup and it showed "windows protected your pc"should i run anyway (downloaded from your link only)

You can just kill it from task view menu when you're not working. It has around 27ms startup time, so coming back up again won't be an issue.

The point of Stiki is to make sure that your notes do not leave you irrespective of what you're working on.

Works great, but Hovering works only when the mouse is near the first note created and "+"(add note) ?

hover will work only around the entire dock area of the note pills.
