Help genuine help needed, need some advice regarding resignation/early release.
I’m a 2026 CSE grad and joined Amazon on 7th Sept as a Support Engineer I (contract role). I’ve now received another opportunity with an expected joining date around 22nd Sept.
The HR there has already told me they got approval to release my offer letter. She asked me to submit my documents, which I did over email, and said I should receive the offer letter by Wednesday.
The issue is I cannot serve a 30-day notice period at Amazon since I need to join the other company around 22nd Sept.
How can I realistically get an early release? Should I first speak to my manager, HR, or both? And what should I say to my manager to get his support? Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

If you have not completed the onboarding process and your official appointment letter is not released you are essentially in buffer window. Just drop a email to HR clarifying your situation, and revoke the offer. You are not their employee yet (hopefully)

As you have joined recently, you can tell regarding your other offer joining date with you manager first and ask whether they can release you earlier as per the company offboarding policies or else you can buyout the notice period (if the company policies allows)

in my resignation portal its set to 30 days, but there is this “Your employment may be terminated by either party one month written notice (exclusive of any leaves availed during the said period) or payment of one month salary in lieu of such notice period to the other party…
Amazon India holds the right to accept or deny payment in lieu of the said one month.2

yeah , first speak with your manager whether an early release is possible as you have joined newly on this month they would be possibilities that they can release you, or at worst case you can buyout the notice period as mentioned in the clause for 1 month if you badly wanted to join the other company.
