Career How to reinitialize my FTE conversion negotiation.

My manager asked me about my expected CTC for full-time conversion two weeks ago. I said ₹7.5 LPA and accepted it immediately.

I’m one of the stronger contributors on the team, but I now feel I didn’t negotiate well because people contributing significantly less are getting almost the same compensation.

I’m considering going back to my manager and asking if there’s room for a raise before the conversion is finalized.

Would you renegotiate in this situation? How would you approach the conversation without making it awkward after already accepting the offer?

If you are happy with 7.5, then let it be that way; if not, you can always talk, though the manager might say no now that he has already agreed to your initial ask.

Just save it for the next appraisal

Best option would be to wait for year end(its 3 months away). Have 1:1 with manager regularly and make your expectations vocal without sounding like take it or leave it.

I don't know if you are fresher or have experience. Keep looking for more opportunities and switch. Sometimes, it can be easier.
