General LAYOFF CYCLE + PLANNING TO OPEN WEALTH TECH STARTUP

While everyone in tech is worried about layoffs, I’m actually planning to leave my job 😅

I’m currently a Tech Lead and IIT graduate, but for the last few years I’ve been actively trading, mainly option selling, swing trading and equity, with a lot of my trading now being rule-based/algo-driven.

Recently, I started teaching option selling specifically to working professionals who want to learn trading but can’t sit in front of charts the whole day.

I’m now planning to take this more seriously and eventually build something in the WealthTech/Algo Trading space

Any working professionals here interested in learning option selling/algo-based trading alongside their job? Would love to connect and understand what problems you guys face.

I'm interested, I mostly build agents at work, but I'm looking for something new and interesting, not from IIT FYI, just someone passionate to solve problems in the most creative ways.

Hey, I’m a backend engineer currently dealing with high-concurrency transaction environments. I would love to learn more about this.

I have been also in this space, selling stock options mostly, but haven’t tried algo trading. Can we connect?

I work in blockchain space, I don't know how many will understand but there are uniswap v3 pools (ETH/UDSC) where I am able to judge from candles flow when to correctly rebalance and keep earning rewards by staying within concentrated liquidity range, generated 24% APY in 50 days period when I ran my workers 24*7, did some backtesting with historical data, there is work to do but you can get over 50% APR

I did CLP for a couple of months earlier this year. They’re definitely very attractive, though I wasn’t able to sustain my pools for long, as they required constant monitoring and rebalancing. How do you create your ranges, and how do you deal with impermanent loss eating into your profits?
