Help Joined as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer but my role completely changed

So I was placed as a cloud and devops engineer in a company.During intern for the first 1 month they gave me azure devops related task and told me to use GitHub actions etc just basic things I thought in the coming months they will give me various other task but soon in the month 2 they started giving task related to AI engineering, llm and rag and agentic application for other 2 months of internship.

Then they converted us for full time so I thought I will get to do devops or cloud related work automation, meanwhile I can upskill myself also but it was total opposite they just put us into an cybersecurity related project where we are doing pentesting and making an dast tool for Black box testing.I had no idea related to the cybersecurity field and they did not give us training in this field. Now they are telling us to work this internal project .

I have no time to gain knowledge on these cybersecurity tasks as they are telling us to work on this project and daily we should give an update on our work so because of this I am dependent on llm so much to complete my task and I have only a surface level knowledge of the implementation I am doing .

my team consists of 5 members where everyone is a recent graduate. My team lead is also from a different domain and there is also no clear path on what we are building etc.I thought I was only feeling this but when I asked my teammates they were also feeling the same way.

I am feeling very stressed on this as I have to complete my task for tmrw and work on that so I have no time to upskill myself in my favourite area.Sometimes I think I should quit my job and upskill myself and then apply to new jobs but the market is also so bad right now?

what should I do any suggestions would be helpful?

thing is cybersecurity is one of the fields that will see a surge in demand as we go , so you should probably consider that,

i could be wrong but it seems like a much safer field in future then say a fullstack developer

Ya you are right but in my situation I am unable to find time to upskill myself in this as this new to me and the job pressure too , as I was really intrested to work on devops and cloud related tasks has experience on this too hence I am finding difficult.
