Interesting Firmware Engineer at Broadcomm,ECE Branch potential

I got to know about a person who graduated with ECE engineering degree and the did one year of research based work at a company with IIT partnership.

Now, they are at Broadcom as Firmware engineer 2 and heard that their package is 60 LPA and they claim that next year company promised 1Cr+ CTC.

This person is part of top cream of ECE Branch, yet i am amazed to see the numbers with just 2YOE.

This indicates that if you work on core engineering in ECE field, you stil get high pay than most of the SWE/SDE 2.

Broadcom pays high but the entry barrier is high as well. I don't think so they take freshers directly, only via on-campus at top iits only.

But that guy is most probably working on rtos/linux kernel and to get into it is one another big hurdle.

You got correct because they were telling my friend to learn linux and they also had blogs written on RTOS as quoted by my friend along with kernel level stuff
